QUICK UPDATE

NOT ALOT OF TIME TODAY.
And there will not be a post on 05-09-07
NBA
The Jazz ran the Warriors off the court last night. Not sure if one game can take away your MoJo, but if it can, it happened to golden state last night.
The Bulls are done. PERIOD.

NHL
Everyone will probley watch the Detroit / Anahem series. But, in my opinion, the one to watch is the Buffalo / Ottawa. ALOT of bad blood between these two.
Example. Buffalo is mike mini-me canada, except with more teeth. They both love hockey and fighting, so why not one another. No one pays attebtion to either of them unless there in the playoff's or get 10 feet of snow, even then we hardle notice them. This will be the better series.

MLB
Enought with Roger already. I read more more article on him i'm gonna have to run some old lady off the road to make me feel better. (more on him later)
Brad Penny (LA) 14K's in 8 innings. Wasn't NY looking at him last year? Ya, they were. I think Cashman said he was "too fragile"

Do you realize that this year we could have 4 more players join the 500 homer club? Frank Thomas, Jim Thome, Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez. Manny is a bit of a long shot away (33) but if he get on a tear he could make it this year. The way Alex started out the season i would have thought he would have been there by now. (It's been 12 games since he hit a home run. Are we slumping? Looks lime my May 12th call for when he starts his down hill slide was a little off, He started earlie!).
After listening t0 alot of baseball people i am now in the agreement that the yankee's are overpaying Roger. Rogert says "it's not about the money". Horse shit. If it's not about the money make $600,0000.00 Like the riickie pitchers already on the payroll and TRAVEL WITH YOUR TEAM! David Wells and Greg Maddox both came out and said that ot was not right. (translation: That's crap, we can't get away with that shit around here.) We'll see what happens over the next few days.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Robert Baswell from west palm beach, fla is a homeless man who fell asleep in a dumpster to stay out of the rain and wound up inside a garbage truck getting crushed. 7 times! "He was screaming and trying to protect himself with a dead opossum". Atleast he'll get a few day hospital stay out of it He suffered a broken leg and a few ribs.

I'm outta here.....................

Yankee Stadium

I went to the "Clemens game" on sunday. With everything that happened before the 7th inning it will always be remembered for that inning. Here's what happened the whole day.
I woke up at 6am ready to start on my way to new york. first problem that happened was that i could hardly move a bone in my body. I had superset while lifting the day before and guess i worked out harder than i thought. It even hurt to go pee. But we have stuff to take care of that. A hot shower, alittle streatching and were good to go. So after my 30 minute Lava shower i grab somthing to eat and hit the road. RTE15 in connecticut is a beautiful drive even after you leave and hit New York. there is a rest area every 15 or so mile to stop and streatch your leggs or to take a leak. I was fine until the yahoo direction i printed out did not keep up with New York construction and also the change of road names. I need ot get a gps or something. After a short 15 minute detor, which was a good thing cause i had to take a piss every 30 minutes,i was back on the road headed in the right dirrection. UNTIL I HIT THE BRONX.
My luck there was a road race in the bronx. FING GREAT. I go past Yankee Staduim to meet my buddie Dave at his hotel. That was mistake #1. Half the city was blocked off for the race and i had no clue as to where i was half the time. (I't not like a blackjack table where you can bluff your way threw a bad hand. this is NYC. When you screwed, your screwed.) So after 30 minutes of driving no where i start heading back to the highway and the stadium. (i think). I try to follow my nose (which by this time is 1/2 way up my ass). 4 times in 15 minutes i stop for dirrections. the 1st three times i think they saw my CT plates and decided to send me in the totally wrong direction. (Thanks guys. I LOVE NEW YORK!). So i actually find my was back to the highway and start heading into the stadium. Stuck in traffic again i realized i really should have taken the train. I get in line like a good ct boy and everyone and there brother starts cutting in front of me. Something happened. I turned into Tony Stewart chasing a hamberger. (Remember in Days of Thunder When there racing to dinner beating the crap out of the rental cars? I did all that except i do not have any dents on my car.) But i made it to the parking garage with out getting killed or killing someone else.
THE GAME
Was good. I am not a yankee's fan, but judging by the croud 1/2 the Yankee fans arn't Yankee fans either. LEMME EXPLAIN...........
THE PEOPLE IN THE BOX BEHIND ME....................
Had more bad things to say about Jeter, A-rob and Giambi then i have head a redsox games. (so i'm told) Jeters 1st at bat i hear from behond me "JETER'S A FAG!", A-rod's 1st at bat, i hear from behind me, "A-ROD DOES STERIODS!", Jason's 1st a bat (again from behind me) "FAT F!@#! - HIT THE DAMN BALL". I look and there wearing Yankee shirts. Nice. what comes out of there mouth when the stink? This happen threw most of the game until the gentleman a few seats down asked the usher (are the usher's?) to ask the kids to stop. Wait, did i forget to mention they were 10 YEARS OLD? Sorry, must have slipped my mind. Classic. I'll never forget that as lonfg as i live.
THEN THERE"S THE JAPANESE FAMILY NEXT TO US.
Screaming at the top of there lungs each time Hideki or Ichiro take the field or are at bat. The one girl actually looked like she thought they could hear her. Everytime either one one of them looked even remotely twards our section she freaked out like a 17yr old at an Elvis concert. Ichiro, Hideki, i wuv you! Not once did the even acknowledge rthe fact Kenji Johjima was playing in the game. (for the record he's got a better batting average them both of them and plays a more demanding position, catcher.) Now to the point. They were not Yankee or Seattle fans. They were Japanese baseball fans who routed for the japanese players.(two out of three of them atleast). And whn Clemens came out well..............
THE GUY A FEW ROWS AHEAD OF US SCREAMS "YOU SUCK!"
Then the croud quited down and Roger gave the "They got me out of Texas and i'm coming back" line. The croud went bullshit. ROGER, ROGER, ROGER! And mister "YOU SUCK" was leading the chant for his section. The Japanese had this "who the hell is he?" look on there faces and the kids behind us were making some sort of comments about Roger taking it in the ass. (I LOVE NEW YORK!) It had everyting you wanted in a baseball game. Even two guys duking it out in the bathroom on a piss soaked floor. (That ride home must have been awesome. But come to think of it some guy did pass me on 95 doing like 100mph).
Then we get to the bench clearing non fight. From 500 feet away it look like a group of guys discussing where there going to dinner. Not much to report there. I saw the highlites on ESPN. They made it look much worse than it actually was. My only comment is that washburn should have plunked him in the ass.
The ride home was even worse, Although i had a really good time playing football with the guys on the top parking deck while waiting for the traffice to clear. (Thanks guys. Also next time we are not using my car as an "out of bounds" marker. I still have Mike's face print on my hood.)
I got lost on the way home. That was not soo bad. But getting lost in new york and having to take the biggest leak of your life is an adventure in itself. Worst part of the trip home was i thought my bladder was going to jump threw my brain. I finally spot a D&D and pull in to go. I start undressing on my way into the store because i know i'm barely going to make it, i turn the corner to the bathroom and i can not beleive my eye's. "OUT OF ORDER" Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i almost killed myself running across the streeet threw traffic making it to the McDonalds.
All and all a great day. Dave, Thanks for the ticket, I had a ball.
I will commect on the Hoops, NLF and everything else tomorrow.

This should be fun

I'm happy, and i'm pissed.

I'm Happy
Golden State knocked of the Mav's last night. Wait, the did not just win, the destroyed Dallas. Beware of the warriors in round #2.
If Dirk wins the MVP it will be a shame. The voting for the MVP award should be after the playoffs. Now you can argue that Dirk season is not that of an MVP no the he stunk up the joint in the playoffs while Nash and Pheonix are still running strong (kind of).
I'm Happy
Manny got his swing back. (Not happy he found it agenst my Mariners). I like Manny, always have, even when everyone wanted to ship him out of Boston. Every once in a while the "Manny being Manny" thing get old but it is usually entertaining. Last night was classic. Manny hits a BOMB to left and watches it leave the park. IN THE 8TH INNING AND ONLY UP BY ONE RUN. The ball was in the stands and he was only 10ft away from the plate. Watching the replays after he connected he knew he had nailed it. Why not watch? Good thing they won the game though. If they had lost there would be a 100 sports writers calling for his head.
I'm Happy
The yankee's are on a roll and have won a few in a row. I'm going to sundays game at the stadium so i can really feel the mood 1st hand. One thing that did pop into my brain last night. I know Giambi is just the DH and all but can someone get him a uniform that fits? Every time i see him at the plate it looks like he just woke up from a nap.
I'm Happy
The Duck beat the Canucks. (i love that line)
Does Scott Niedermayer only show up during the playoff's? Mabey it east coast bias but we hear nothing from him during the regular season. (kind of like "big shot rob") Then he gets some good T.V. time and goes off. Is this a contract year for him?
I'm Happy
Gabe Ruediger was kicked off the ultimate fighter 5. The thing that upsets me is that someone (anyone) didn't take him out back and beat the crap out of him. All he did was talk shit and go the doctors to get a tub shoved up his ass. I do not care if he calls it a Kolonic (or how ever you say it) i call it anal sex. If he didn;t make a comment about the nurse being hot i would be 100% sure he a fag. Now i'm only 99% sure. Look i'm starting Mauy Thai next month and can not wait for my 1st fight. (even if i get knock on my ass) If i have 2 months notice that i was going to be on the show and be in front of millions of viewers you can best your ass i would show up in the best shape of my life and ready to fight. (like Rob, Cory and Nick) He came to the show at 179lb and the show is for the 155lb class. 24lb over weight? ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME? Then he does nothing but slack off for the 1st three weeks, cry like a little pussy, eat everything in site, bitch and moan the whole time, and bring down his team in the process. (I also have a problem with B.J. Penn for not calling his ass out and riding the whole team until gabe was in shape. Lil'Evil has his team rocking right now and in the beginning NO ONE wanted to work with Jans.) And now that i'm all rilled up, that brings me to
I'm really, really, really pissed............
David Hasselhoff was video taped by his daughters eating a cheeseburger, drunk off his ass, and admonishing him for being drunk in the process. In a statement David said the he is a recovering alcholic and that he relapsed and that "relapse is a part of recovery". (Face getting red and hands are burning). What an assinine statement. I am a recovering alcholic (20 months sober) and relapse is the furthers thing from recovery. Good thing he doesn't have alot of fans left in the United States. Call alcholism what you will, a disease, and moral breakdown, what ever. As a recovering alcholic i am appaled by his remark and wonder if he was drinking when he said it. We strive not to drink, not to use, to be honest, to be a friend a friend would like to have, better our life, better out family, better our community, all by being clean and sober. And a statement like that totally demoralises who we are and what we are today. 50 years ago people looked at an alcholic as someone who was beyond help. Today we look at them as someone who can have a chance to turn there life around and become a productive member of todays society. Recovering alcholics and addicts are some of the most productive members in society and the work force. (trust me, I know alot of them). I made alot of mistakes and lost alot to alcholism (two marriges to start off with and my drivers licence for 10 years) but i have taken the steps to turn things around and get back to good. David, to me, use the "recovering Alcholic" card to get a sympthoy vote. Rehab is for people who need help and want to turn there life around, but latelly it seams to be a safe haven for the rich and famous. Britney, Lohan, An d now "the Hoff" will join the group. He''l probley be on Larry King live tonight or something tonight vowing he'll turn his life around. Either that or a bigger star will feel left out now that David is getting all this attention and do something to top him...(cue Britney Spears.........)

I was wrong

TV doesn't suck. Atleast for the 4 minutes and 32 seconds Blake Lewis was on American Idol last night. I came in the house last night from working out and was walking threw the living room. I looked at the TV and saw Paula, Randy and Simon. Bon Jovi was the guest "mentor" for the evening and growing up in the 80's i was a little interested in watching. Brought back fond memories of the big hair band days and actually gettiong layed in the pack seat of a car. (cars were big enough back then to have sex in.) His performance of "you give love a bad name" was AWESOME.... I already watched i again on www.youtube.com (There's a new sheffir in town, and his name is Blake Lewis) I cant' beleive i'm this giddy over one performence (and by a guy!). I have seen bits and peices of his other performance's. The only other one i like this much was in the beginning when he did " all messed up" by 311. Doughtry had the "other it" factor last year and Blake took a strangle hold on it last night. The "other it" factor is the fact these people will never be normal singers. Daughtry had the bald head, Ronnie James Dio voice, and the hot older wife, and turned evey song he sang into a rock tune. Blake got the Tat's, Beatbox, and the F-IT attutude, and quite frankly, i beleive he's plowing Paula every chance he gets.

Then when i turned the channel
I got to see papelbon blow a two run lead in the 9th. (Yankee fans are screamong right now, SEE I TOLD YOU HE SUCKED!). 1st blown save of the year and no one is redsox nation is on panic mode (yet).
Meanwhile the Yankee's got 6-1/3 out of Hughes (who was outstanding) before he tweeked his hammy. Did not see the back page on the NY Post today but i can only imagine what they had to say.
And out on the west coast my Mariners are stuck in the middle. Not doing too bad, but certianially not putting upi the numbers they should. I have decided that all the unpires have give Richie Sexton a 6ft strike zone. (Same thing happen to Jordan when he tried playing baseball).

NASCAR
14 fans were banned for like from Talladega, but, and FOX reported, that does not mean a 3rd party can't buy the tickets. WHAT? They warned you at the beginning of the race that if you were cought the penelties would harsh, but only if you don't have any freinds?
There is an Eagles fan somewhere screaming "WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THIS?". A few years ago (mabey more) a bunch of Eagles fans got banned for life from the stadium for throwing batteries (at the Giants i beleive) and the stadium put there pictures up at the front gates for a few years after that. NASCAR should do the same thing. But this time use the internet like america's most wanted does. Letting these people back at the track would be like letting Pacman back in the NFL is he wears a diffrent number. Grow some balls and stick to your guns.

Speaking of the NFL
Reports are that Tom Brady has restructured his contract so that the pats could sign Moss. Keyshawn is looking for a job as well. Do we have room for another posession receive with goos hands and a big mouth? Everyone already has the Pats penciled in for the superbowl if they sign Keyshawn you can pretty much confirm your reservations.

NHL
The rangers came into the garden with a 2-0 lead in the series. The Sabers have now evened the series in there house. Not looking good. Are you hands tightening around your own neck?

NBA
Dallas may have won last night but there done. Remeber, Jessica Alba is Golden state's #1 fan. Dirk loves David Hasselhoff music. No contest...........

T.V. Sucks

I do not watch alot of T.V. I am basically resigned to watching sports and "HERO"S". Alittle ultimate fighting and an occasional espisode of Bull Run. My problem with t.v. is everytime you turn around your seeing the same shit over and over again.
C.S.I. has what? 4 of them? Miami, Vegas, NYC and the military one with the teacher from the
"summer school" movie.
We have a ton of hospital shows. E.R. , Grey's body parts, and a bunch of other chick shows.
The we get into reality T.V.
My girlfriend watches this show where this military doctor is banging like 20 women until he finds his "true love". Nice. Who thought up that shit up. Ron Jeremy and the dude from Grey anatomy? If i wanted that i'll watch showtime after 11pm on weekends.
Which brings me to my point. Guys like sports, porno and fighting. Period. (unless your gay. Then we made the Travel Channel for you).
The Red Wings and San Jose game. I case you missed it. A hockey game broke out last night between all the hitting and the body checks. Nabokov - 29 saves. (best nickname for an arena in sports "the shark tank")
Emery shuts down the Devils last night and now Ottowa leads the series 2 to 1
Is any body but me watching hockey?

NBA
The only series remotely entertaining is the Golden State series. The Mavs are done. They already pointing fingers at one another and bitching back a forth. There a bad rotation away from being the Yankee's. And again, Jessica Alba is golden state's #1 fan.

MLB
I am not saying the Cardnials mailed in the game last night, but how could you be expected to play less than 48 hours after one of you teammate died? They should have postponed the game for alteast one more day.
Tim Hudson (atlanta) is on a roll. Looks like the braves are back everyone. The Mets know. They've been swaping 1st place back and forth for the last three weeks. Let me make a few points on Tim Hudson. #1 - He's not that good. He a quality pitcher, does not throw alot of "junk" pitches. Goes late into games. (you listening New York?) Which would you rather have? A pitched who goes 5 innings and throw 100 pitches or one who goes 7-8 innings and throw 110 pitches per start? (I'm Timmmmmyyyyy!!!!!)
Gary Sheffield is back , and he's pissed. An angry, pissed Shef on the tigers is better than any ball player alive. Think his swing was voilent in Altanta, New York, and with the local call girl, just watch him now. He swings at the ball with "very bad intensions". If you missed the highlites of last nights game i am sure you can see them on www.espn.com

NFL
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant. I guess Matt finally "got the ball and scored". (The other obvious joke is "Is it Rosie's?)

Big Shot Rob.
Does it again last night. There is probley a post on espn or www.youtube.com by now.

Weird ending spoils Talladega

It was a descent race. But i wish NASCAR had thrown just one more caution so everyone wouldn't be worried about fuel. Twards the end the whole "get in lone and follow the leader" thing was getting old. Larry, Darrell and Mike did a good enough job keeping us semi interested until 10 lamps to go.
My problem is this. Well, I have a few problems.
#1 - I have a problem with Kyle Busch, always have, and i like his brother. This i think will be the 3rd time this year he has left the track with out being interviewed buy fox or NASCAR. Tony (missing his balls and all, see previous post) stayed around and actually spoke with the reporters. If he doesn't want to be in the limelite get out of racing. If he doesn't want to be fined for sayng something stupid, hire and an interpretor like a japanese pitcher.
Alot of people hate Jeff Gordon, but he does not shy away from the good or the bad press. He even made a joke about it in victory lane. I'll admitt i never root for him (unless i pick him in my pool) but that showed some class. He puts fans in the seats even though those people are hoping he hitts the wall at 200mph. Kyle on the other hand acts like a 2 year old that didn't get his icecream and went up to his room to cry. I read no reports anywhere that said he was hurt from either the crash on saturday or the one on sunday. If he's injured that is one thing, if he's just pissed, that's another.
#2 - if NASCAR had a catagory for "comback driver of the year" right now it would be Jamie McMurray. With all the attention on Gordon and JR. Does anyone else realize he's 7th in points? (HELLO McFLY!!!!!). Nice job so far Jamie.
#3 - Also some earlie atta-boy's to Kurt Busch (brutal season lasty year) Clint Bowyer (goes unnoticed every year) David Stremme (roockie) and Elliot Saddler (gotta love a guy with 400 hound dogs) For hanging in the top 15 in points and letting everyone else know "we ain't going no where".
#4 - On to Smoke. Back off McMurray. The only thing David Gilliland didn't do was climb in Jamie's car and turn the wheel into Tony. You want to blame someone for your bad finish you have your choice of Mcdonalds, Wendy's or BK. If you fat ass lost 25 pounds you'd probley get alittle better gas milage. (not really, but i'm venting, bare with me).
#5 - For all his hype coming into this year Kasey Kahne has layed a big egg. Is he doing too many commercials with the 3 crazy chicks? Or is he doing the 3 crazy chicks and is too tired to race? (Things that make you go Hmmmmmm........)

Other Update's
"Pacman" to appeal his suspension. Yup, knew that was going to happen. He's gonna loose what 2.3 million this year if he doesn't play? Gotta keep that posse armed and feed.....

Steinbrenner say's he beleives in Torre. Can anyone say "kiss of death?"
He's gone. Not even Jeters wining and A-rods homeruns could save his ass. Stick a fork in him.

Have a good afternoon.

Dave

Alot happened this weekend

So we'll just highlite unless i get off on a tangent about something.
THE DRAFT
I'm not too big on the draft because except for the class of 83 most of the "better" NLF players have come from the lower rounds. Brady Quinn will be just fine as long as everyone give him his one crappy year. (hopefully he does not pull en Eli Manning and have to go threw 3 of those years). But how is it that the biggest buzz of the draft is Moss going to the Pats? Now they have something they have not in the past few years, too many good receivers. Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, Troy Brown, and Kelly Washington. All i can say ig good think Troy like to play defence and return kicks.

THE NBA
The HEAT are gone.
The Lakers are on the brink.
The nets are about to kick the Raptors to the curb.
And Golden State (holy crap, GOLDEN STATE!) Is about to drop the Mavs. Jessica Alba is Golden State's #1 fan. NUFF SAID!

Michael Vick
Meet with the league and is sorry for anything he might have done. If Pacman and Henry deserved there suspensions what do we do with Vick? Slap him on the rist and tell the rest of the league it "wasn't as bad" as Jones and Henry? Too bad Altanta traded there best quarterback to houston or this may have turned out diffrent.

MLB
Stud of the weekend. Troy Tulowitzki. Not sure who he is? Here's a hint. Made an unassisted triple play and hitthe game winning HR over Altanta.
In case your missing it, funnest team to watch in the league, The Diamondbacks.
(Yankee fans please turn your head)
We will not talk about the 509ft homer by David or Mr. Cora's (essentially game winning) homer, but will will mention these facts.
Johnny Damon 4 for 32
Bobby Abreu 2 for 30
Hideki Matsui 3 for 17
Robinson Cano 1 (ONE) for 18

Cubs / Cards game is canceled to to the passing of pitcher Josh Hancock.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, teammate's and fans.
Smell the roses, see a sunset, feel the ocean under your feet..................
