I have been sick for the last 4 days.
I have not posted because i have not been able to get out of bed. I hate getting sick, especially before the holidays.
Roger Clemens
Denies taking steroids. No kidding. The weird thing is will all the attention being paid to Roger everyone has forgotten about Bonds.
On one of my sick days
I was watching Rome is Burning. One of the commentators made a vary valid point.
We as a society are a very forgiving nation. I do not care who has used in the past. Lets let the records stand. Lets let the past be just that, the past. We all know that a good portion of the stars in the MLB were jacked or at least we think they were. The Mitchell report will forever be linked to the 90's and 2ooo's in baseball history.
Let's start a "do over". Remember as kids playing we could always call a "do over" when something happened that no one agreed upon? Why not now?
I am sick of hearing the Clemens, Bonds, Roberts, Sosa, McGuire and the rest of them were juiced. We all know Cal Ripken did not take. We all know Tony Guinn was clean. ECT, ect.
As a public we know who was dirty and who was clean. I remember watching the mark/Sammy HR race and thinking that even though i know there not "clean" that this was saving the pastime i so dearly love. Did i hate the fact they were saving baseball and not doing It legally? Yes.
Baseball hit it lowest point right after the strike. same way hockey hit me a few years ago after they decided to walk. It had to take something, and thing to get people back to the games, back to the TV sets. This was it. Did the owners know the players were shooting up? Of course they did.
Maybe it is just me. Maybe not.
Have a safe and happy Holiday everyone.
I will be posting over the holiday.

The Mitchell Report
I AM SO DISAPPOINTED
There is no place to start with the Mitchell report. I guess i could focus on Roger and Andy like the rest of the league has.
Some of the stories i heard just last night were off the wall. Roger (if the accusations are true) was a walking drug store.
HGH, Wistrol, Deca, stanziol, HOLY CRAP! (again, if the accusations are true)
I would also consider the source
Of the information that is coming to the Mitchell report. Rodomski is in deep, deep shit with the feds. What if he was sitting there spitting out names like Howie Clark, Ricky Stone, Exavier Logan, and Ricky Bones and the FEDS are sitting there rolling there eye's because they have not heard of these guys either.
He's gotta throw out one piece of bait that will reel them in.
So he throws out Roger Clemens. then there ears perk up.
Then he throws out Tejeda...
The get more interested and the next thing you know this dude is selling out everyone and there brother.
There are a couple of guys on the list who do not surprise me.
But a shit load who do.
Brian Roberts is the 1st one who really surprised me. We get to watch alot of Baltimore game up in the area and i got to see him play alot. Great contact hitter with a little bit of power.
The others are
Mike Stanton,
David Bell
Paul LoDuca
Todd Williams
And the huge surprise
Chuck Knobloch
CHUCK? Holy cow. No wonder Chuck had the shakes and could not throw the ball to 1st base. He had the shakes and was in withdrawal mode.
AND THAT SAME DAY A-ROD
Signs the richest contract in baseball. How weird is that.
Hey cheaters! LOOK WHAT I GOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a big FU to the players and the league. I hope he rots in hell.
NFL - This weekends picks.
Home teams in caps and point spread does not apply
Bengals over 49ERS
BROWNS obe the Bills
Titans over CHEIFS
Packers over RAMS
Ravens over DOLPHINS
SAINTS over Arizona
Jags over STEELERS
BUCS over Falcons
Seahawks over PANTHERS
Colts over RAIDERS
COWBOYS over the Eagles (I may change my mind)
CHARGES over Lions
GIANTS over the Redskins (I may change my mind on the one too)
PARTIOTS over(killing, destroying, embarrassing, dancing on there graves) The Jets
(19 - 0 watch)
AND THE DESTINE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS VIKINGS over Bears.
Think i got everyone.
Peace.

I changed my mind
Bobby Petrino
Made a "mistake" by taking the Falcons job and millions of dollars from Aurther Blank. WOW! Now he goes back to collage, the SEC, and takes over an Arkansas job that should be loaded for the next several years. Next year the SEC is the conference to watch. Let's see how Bobby B does in the recruiting stages of his new career over the next several months.
I had this conversation last night at the gym. When do you know a collage coach will always be a collage coach? Pete Carroll did the right thing by staying at USC a few years ago after he won the national championship and every NFL team was after him. He know he could never make it in the pro's (Just look at his pro record, not good.) I think it is something like once a collage coach, always a collage coach. (The just do not do well moving up the ranks. I do not care how good the money is.)
Speaking of collage coaches
The Les Miles rumors of him going to Michigan will not stop. And why should they? HE CALLED MICHIGAN TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH!
Les is a Michigan alum. A Michigan supporter, and an avid fan. The LSU job is the right place for him but his loyalty, fan pressure, and the Michigan Ad may move him to take the job. He did sign and extension with LSU but there is a clause in there that will let him opt out to take the Michigan job. I think this is a dome deal after the bowl game is done.
Tracking.....................
Mitchell report
The MLB get a sneak peek at the report today.
I bet it is only once sentence.
"Yup, you got a steroid problem".
Cubs get FU
That's Kosuke Fukudome
(Someone tell me how to pronounce his last name right. I am dying to start the limerick process)
Some off the top of my head
K-FUK ?
Sorry, i can not do the rest. Too unclean even for me.
T.J. Ford
Took a nasty spill last night during the Raptors game and left on a stretcher. Normally that fall would not have effected a normal player that way. But TJ had two of he vertebrae fused 3 years ago. Last word i heard was he had movement in all of his extremities.
I really hate the weather.
Not so much in Connecticut but in the midwest. This ice storm is really screwing up my buisnees here in Connecticut. The ice storm stopped the truck and of course stopped any shipment coming into Connecticut. Do we have trucks with ice scates on them yet? There has to be a better way.
PATS / JETS
Did you see the line in Vegas was 27 points? Jim Rosse who announces the WWE Monday night raw broadcast use to say about Stone Cold Steve Austin that he was about to "stop a mud hole in his opponent and walk it dry".
I think that is probably appropriate for what is about to happen to the Jets. Anyone got tickets for this public Lynching?
With the game expected top be as big a blow out as everyone is saying expect the T.V. ratings to be threw the roof. (almost like of they sold pay-per-view subscriptions for a public execution. Everyone would be agents it but 90% of them would watch.
More later.

Lost Balls
Larry Bird has lost his balls.
#1 - Larry Bird.
Did any one read the article on Tinsley this morning? He got shot at. One of his "friends" got busted for skipping on a warrent (not a good sign). Guess where he was when all of this happened?
*
*
*
*
A STRIP BAR...............................
*
TA-DA! When are these players going to learn? Take it from Lebron. He built a house that has
#1 - A casino
#2 - A full bar
(If he was smart he would put and a strip bar and invite all of the players over to his place).
And Larry Bird says the Paces will not take any action on him. WTF???
Larry Legend is getting soft in his old age. Back in the day if Kevin, Danny, Dennis or any of the other guys had pulled any crap like this (relatively speaking) they would have had a team meeting and beat his ass then sent him out on the floor for the entire game.
Done for now.

Monday Round up.
Don't piss off the Partiots.
I was listening to the game in the car while i was running around doing some Christmas shopping. (Yes i am shopping Earlie this year.)
I got home around half time and watched the Pats pick apart the Steelers for the rest of the half.
Couple things i saw at the press conference that is obvious.
#1 - Do not give the Pats extra motivation.
#2 - Do not give Touchdown Tom extra motivation.
#3 - Moss plays great with a chip on his shoulder.
#4 - Never ever embarrass or call out the defence.
Best moments of the game was Brady talking shit to the steelers defence after the 2nd touchdown and the moment the steelers knew it was over.
This should be the home stretch of the undefeated season. They have the Jets (72 to 0) The Dolphins (760 to 0) and the Giants (who should have clinched a playoff berth by then and will be resting all of there starters). Then the bye week.
The Pats should be rested and healthy by the time the playoff run comes about.
Are we looking at the greatest team in NFL history? Arguably yes.
I actually just read a story on Fox Sports that Jimmy Johnson thinks Dallas may be the best team in football.
Really????????
I agree as far as a talent standpoint goes the Cowboys may be as talented as the Pats but there is one crucial difference he missed in his story.
Bill Belichick or Wade Phillips ?
Who do you want coaching your team??????

Happy Thursday
LET'S SEE WHAT WE CAN F WITH TODAY....
I'm in a weird mood. Look out.............
Andrew Jones will hook up with Joe Torre.
Not a bad combination. And maybe Donnie Baseball can fix his swing.
2 years 36.2 million. Not quite the 20 mill a year Scott Borasshole was looking for but not a bad chunk of change.
Meta enter the Santana race....
Of course they will. Youth in baseball is one thing, and a very important thing, BUT, Santana in your rotation is more important. If you already have a "good" team. Mets, Boston, Yankee's, Angles. Adding a reliable arm that will give you 15 wins (minimum) 200 plus innings, and 7 plus per start is irreplaceable.

I has been reported that the Mariners are also the front runner for Jananese pitcher Hiroki Kuroda.
This should be interesting. Santana is just not the best avaliable pitcher this year but the best (arguably) of the past decade. This is a one in a lifetime deal for the team that signs him.
Gotta run.
Sorry for the short post.

DETROIT / SHORT POST
Gonna be a short post tonight.
I beat the crap out of myself tonight at the gym. My arms feel like the weigh 400 pounds. I set the laptop on the table and i had to rest for two minutes. Driving home as fun. I took the straightest route possible so i did not have to turn the steering wheel. Tomorrow night is leg night and were doing lots, and lots, and lots of squats.
THE DETROIT TIGERS JUST CLINCHED A PLAYOFF SPOT.
They got Willis and Cabrera from the Marlins. WOW!
There proposed lineup for 2007
Curtis Granderson
Placido Palonco
Gary Sheffield
Magglio Ordonez
Just to name a few.
Now they have Dontrell Willis, Kenny Rogers, Jerrome Bonderman, and Joel Zumia for pitchers. (I know i forgot someone).
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Book these boys a playoff ticket.
LATE NEWS FROM SEATTLE
Seattle had throw there hat into the ring for Johan Santana.
This ought to make the Redsox a little nervous.
This should speed things up a little on the negotiation side of the deal.
I know totally expect the Sox to ante up anything the Twins want for Johan.
$10.00 says this thing is done by Friday.
I'm tired and i am starting to get sore.
See ya tomorrow.
