LAPTOP IS DOWN

So i am posting on my "lunch". I only have a half an hour so lets get right to it.

PACMAN.
What can you say. Now he is wanted for questioning because on of his associates (crew, gang, moron, call them what you will) shot at a parked car outside (deep breath) a strip club. Again, I am not the smartest man in the world but COME ON! WTF? Your meal ticket need to stay out of trouble and you go and shoot up a car (with someone in it). Pac needs to pull a Ricky Williams and head off to some monistary somewhere and chill out. (Is jail an option? Tank willaims is only serving a 10 game suspension. PAC could go to jail, bulk up, find religion, and stay out of trouble. This will work , trust me.)

Tiger is a Daddy.
I happy for him and his (smokin hot) wife. If he's smart he will teach him golf. You get a 40 plus year career in golf. MLB 10 years, Football 5 years. Makes sence to me.

NBA
I'm not a big hoops guy. Never have been. But with the draft coming up and Durant/Oden as the 1/2 picks respectivally i have to watch a little. Hot rumor this week is that KG is headed to boston. (Bill Simmons must be giddy). What i did watch growing up was Magic/Bird, Jordan/Barkley. That kind of ruined me on hoops because nothing could compare to that era.

MLB
Giambi is going to talk (name names) to George Mitchell this week. 5 bucks says he gets his knees broken with in 10 minutes of finishing. He's in dee[ shit if he starts naming names. Conseco is now a folk hero for writting his book. But Jason is not going to have a leg to stand on if he starts ratting out his fellow players. Something has changed in him. 10 years ago you could see him taking a bullet to the chest before squeeling, Now? I'm afraid he's about to take it up the ass. He may think he is doing MLB a favor but i don't see it.

Chone Figgins racked up 6 hits (6?) Yup. 4 singles one double and the game winning tripple. Holy crap.

Schilling, gave up what? 6 runs in 4 plus innings yesterday. Not a good sign. The yankee's are now only 8 games back. They made up 7 games in close to 21 days. I predicted A-rod would start to slow on may 22nd. He did. For about two minutes. My god is he on a tear, I think i'm actually starting to like him, almost like when he use to play for the Mariners.

Anyone paying attention to Prince Fielder? No? Well he's gonna pass a-rod for the homer lead any day now. (In case your wondering he plays for the Brewers...) What a fun team to keep track of. Loos by 1 win by 150. These guys are having fun and the absolutly crush the ball when the hit it. does not have to be a homer. Every time one of the guys hits the ball smoke come off like a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

40 days and counting until the trade deadline. Hot players at the moment..
*Bonds - if (big IF) he is traded is will have to be to an american league team to DH. No way his knee's can take playing 5 days a week. (I'm thinking yankee's, redsox, angles)
*Brad Lidge - I would trade him to the Cardnials so he never, ever, ever, ever, has to pitch to Albert again.......
*Ken Griffey JR. - Quietly having a fantastic year. Not sure if he would accept a trade.

NOW...................
What i really want to know is when the average person got so frickin stupid. Is it just me? Example........
I was riding my mountain bike this weekend when i stopped at a store to get a bottle of water. Got it, went outside and downed it right away. I walked back in the store (with the empty bottle) and asked jokingly "Do you give free refills?" while holding up the empty bottle. The kid freaked.. #1 - he had never been asked the question before. #2 - there was no manager there to ask. #3 - he was ringing out another customer and lost his place. I swear he started having a breakdown, sweatting, studdering, eye's rolling into the back of his head.......
So i left. Rode down to another store and got a bottle of water. I'm sitting on my bike leaning agenst the wall. (note: I'm in FULL GEAR. Helmet, gloves, pads, sunglasses ect...) and this old(er) woman passes me and says (sigh...) "Out for a ride?". With out missing a beat i respond. "As a child i was in a horrific car accident and lost the use of my leggs. Instead of a wheel chair i opted for a mountain bike sergically fused to the base of my spine. Was a radical operation back in the late 80's but is almost common place now. With advances in technology we have replaced the huge battery cabinate with this small compact assembly tucked away in my backpack." The expression on her face was priceless when he finally realized what was going on. (Ask a stupid question, get and unbeleviably complaciated answer that makes no sence). And as i rode awy i was making the errrRRRrrr sound like a battery being used up.
So i rode pack to the trailer where no one was around, got into me swom suite and went to the pool, where no one was around. Laying on a floatty thing in the pool just chilling out i see a woman and her son headed me way to the pool. (she was kinda hot for a trailer park chick). She gets to the pool and what's the 1st thing out of her mouth????

Been a while

Sorry,
Been a while since i posted.
Here are my thoughts.

MLB
A-rod is at the forefront of a couple of things. 1st "The blonde". He was not cought with a stripper. I doubt he got to Toranto very much and you need a tour guide. Why not a hot blonde with big hooters? According to everything i read today his wife looks o.k. with it. (and for those of you who do not know his wife is super hot).
"The call". There is no doubt when he rounded 3rd agenst the blue jays he said something. Why not? This is baseball, and NO, it's not bushleague either. everyone is getting so upset the minute things go wrong that everything is under the microscope. Back in the day when Nolan Ryan was pitching they use to scream at one another rounding the bases. Ryan was know to yell out the pitch he was going to throw them before he even pitched. Spiking the 2nd baseban was an everyday occurance. Lenny Dykstrya was know for playing with broke fingers, grabbing the 1st basemas crotch (true story) and spitting on the 2nd and shortstop players shoes as he was rounding the bases. A-rod yelling YA! or I GOT IT! should be treated like MLB is treating Bonds. Ignor it.
Redsox / Yankee's this weekend. Break out the boxing gloves. This is the yankee's best chance to make up ground in the next month. Look for them to pull every bag of tricks out of the bag.

Giant trade Benitez to florida. Who saw that coming? (i did) After his off field antics and them blowing another game he was done in SF. He still gas gas in his pitches and should flurinh enough in FLA to catch on with another team but ,truthfully, look for him on Pro's vbs Joe's in two years.

Mets win, AGAIN! Is there any doubt the the Mats are the class of the division right now? No, Even with Beltran hurt they still have, arguably, THE most potent line up (with a pitcher batting) in the league. Tommy is pitching as good as ever, Carlos is starting to hit his mid-season stride. john Maine looks un-fricking-beleive-able. Right now they could pull Ron Darling AND Keith Hernandez out of the anounces booth and still win at least 100 games. And the Ace of the staff (ready for the shocker.............) Oliver Perez is looking like a very dominate left handed pitcher. (Oliver who?, someone test that boy...)

NFL
Vick is D-O-N-E.
Inversigators now have enough evidence to charge him. New haircut and threads will not help him at all. It's time for the falcon to lo0k for another starting QB who is half way descent. (Wait, Matt Schaud was there back-up, now he the texan's starter. Is David Carr still looking for a job?) Has there been any Jeff George siting in Altanta this week? What's Kerry Colins doing these days? Wait, I got it. Someone call Joe Theisman......

NBA
(I'll get to Lebron in a minute.)
Bill Donovan Leave florida state for the magic and an extra 1.5 million a year. Now i'll all for making a buck but, WTF was he thinking?
Plus side of coaching in collage.
- coach kids who WANT to learn the fundementals of the game and actually give a crap about playing. Hustle on every play. Dive for loose balls. Go into the crowd for loose balls. Put there body on the line to win A game. Listen to what your saying.
Negitives about coaching in collage.
- 1-3 year turn over depending upon talent level............... yup, that's it.

Plus side of coaching in the pro's
- (thinking) ...... ,.,.,.,. .......... [][][][][][ ............ [][][][][][][ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....................... Sorry, can not think of 1 single reason.
NEGITIVES about the pro's
Plys hard for the last three minuts fo the game, Gun toating thughs who only worry about receiving a paycheck (this included everyone), Multi year contracts for 1 year players, "guarantted money", salary cap, Ukraine players who speak no english and need an interpertor on the sidelines, ect, ect, ect...............

One the brite side.......
Lerbron absoutly took over last nights game. Holy crap! Where was this the last 62 games? (He mailed in almost the whole season). Almost jordanesk... Except, (when i use to like basketball) Jordan did this almost everynight.

Nascar.
I have Greg Biffle in my pool this week. Pray for me please.

More monday. (PROMISE)

Memorial Day Breakdown and more.......

MLB
Congrats to
#1 - John Sotlz. 1st pitchure in history with 200 wins and 150 saves. The HOF is calling you right after you retire (Gonna be a few more years the way he is pitching though.)
#2 - Frank Thomas. Tied Gehrig for #21 on all time list.
#3 - Detroits Jeremy Bonderman. 7 strong in his 1st start back. (I know, i'm late on that one)
#4 - Clemens. 3r, 6h, 5k, 4bb, 5.1ip, , 102 throws. He was throwing. Not pitching. Yankee fans beware. Mabey he is coming back too soon.
#5 - No congrats to Giambi. Two words. SHUT UP.

There letting me leave work.
I'll update fully on monday or tuesday.

Have a safe and happy weekend everyone.
Please say a special prayer for our troops this weekend.

The weekend that was.......

Let's see if my fingers can keep up with my brain. Soo much over the weekend, Soo little time.

NFL
Seau signs another 1 year deal with New England. Well, no kidding. At this point i think he would basically play for free given the Pats are a lock for a run at the Super Bowl. Can you think of one other team right now, except mabey, MABEY, the colts who have this good a shot? Any takers? (Waiting.............) Didn't think so.

I should start keeping a running police blotter for the NFL. (actually i think www.thesmokinggun.com already has one.)
#1 - Chris Henry (suppostially) fails a drug test.
#2 - Jets KR Justin Miller was charged with domestic violence.
As i have said before. WTF? Hello? You in the public eye? Look even if you a back up long snapper for the Houston Texans your under the microscope. If your name end up in the police blotter and you play for an NFL team, your gonna make headlines.

NBA
I actually watched a little of the spurs/Jazz game last night. That's about all i ahve to say about that. They look about as enthused to play that game as Jason Giambi is to give another interview.... ZZZZZZZZ...................................

NHL
Ducks shock the Wings in OT last night (nobody saw this coming) and take a 3-2 series lead. HOLY CRAP!
Again Scott Niedermayer (in front of a national audience) scores the game winner. Is this a contract year for him? All i hear is CHA-CHING!

MLB
The yankee's are the talk of every radio show between here and Mars.
It's a little earlie to start talking about firing Torre (or is it?) I like Joe, but Yankee fans are like a dogs following a steak. That thing drops a half and inch and there snapping at it. Who you gonna replace him with? Larry Bowa? Donnie Baseball? Come on. You want ot risk not getting Clemens? Rogers main reason for coming back is Torre. I do not blame Joe. I blame..........
#1 - The injury bug. Usually it effects one person in a varity of positions. This time it targeted the entire pitching staff. (Some where Randy johnson is laughing his ass off).
#2 - The attutude. Have you watched any of the games this year? Almost all of the team look like there already thinking about tee times. the only one who still looks interested is Jeter. A-rod has hit a wall and looks like he's back to his old self. Giambi looks ready for a streight jacket (or better yet HAND CUFFS!). Cano looks baked, Posada looks tired after only 40 games, and Bobby Abreu looks so not-interested at the plate the pitcher could call out the pitch he's gonna throw and Bobby would still miss it.

Gabbard throw for the win agenst the braves and gets sent back down to the minors. Beckett should be ready to go again in about 5 days. The kid looked good. Keep him around, your gonna need him.

Woods to throw this week for the Cubs. (Holy crap. Is this ground hog day? We have a Kerry Woods sighting.)

Now, I know i should have said this earlier but i think Jason Giambi has entered the Curt Schilling zone. Some time it is good to just keep your mouth shut. This would be one of them. Now you give the Yanks reason to yank your contract. If Jason wanted out of new york hwe should have just asked. next thing you know he's gonna start a blog and call out Barry Bonds after he breaks the record. (wait, he called him out already and he has not broken the record yet, DAMIT!).

Finally,
Hats off to Randy Johnson. 71/4ip, 10k's 0 BB's/ His 206th 10plus strike out game. Question. If he does not get 300 wins (which he will) are those hall of fame numbers?

Back tomorrow.

Mid week shuffle

I may bounce around a little
JR. Was docked a 100 driver points. And Tony (Eury jr.) was fined $100,000.00 for improperly mounted wing on the COT. Tony's taking the blame and Dale is offering to pay the fine. Were they tryong to get away with something? Mabey. But you can almost here them saying F-IT in there interviews. What are they going to do? FIRE HIM? I expect more of this. Especially if he starts droping in the standings. Owners are trying to find a way to push the envelope for the COT, the only way to do that is to cheat and see what you can get away with. Got cought, whoops!. Cheated and NASACAR didn't catch it? Better!. I'm just saying. Everyone loves Jr. Why not ask him to do it? (Remember the kid in high school who really didn;t give a crap and you asked him to do everything 1st in case you got A) hurt, B) cought, C) both? Well right now that's Dale.)

NBA
As expected David Stern suspended Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw for the Suns and Robert Horry for the spurs. BUT. Amare and Boris got suspended for tonight game (in pheonix) and Horry got suspended for 2 games (tonight and game 6). A couple things here.
#1 - When Amare is out Boris is his replacement under normal circumstances. With both of them under suspension this basically kills them for tonight (you would think). My suggestion, put in the smallest and quickest line up you can and run them off the floor. The Spurs are a team that likes to slow the temp. Run Duncan and Parker off the floor. No way the can keep up with alittle run-n-gun offence.
#2- STAY ON THE BENCH!
The NBA rules are clear. During an altercation, if you were not on the floor to begin with, stay on the bench or get suspended. The 97 knicks game and "The Brawl" should have tought you that lesson. PERIOD.
#3 - If the Suns loose tonight the killed themselves. big shot Rob is only good for 5 to 10 points a night, off the bench. Stoudemire is the Suns leading scorer with about 29/8/3 and Diaw is good for about 15/3/1. Again this goes to #2 - STAY ON THE BENCH.

NFL BAD BOYS
Tank Johnson meet with Goodell yesterday. As of this morning no news on how the meeting went. Tracking............
Mike Vick.
Virginia investigators say the have evidence of Vick not only knowing about the dog fight, but being video taped watching one of them!. He's done. Wait until PETA get a hold of this story. The'll not olny run him into jail and out of football and possible out of the country. What do you compare this to? If this is true what kind of punishment should the NFL hand out (besides jail time)? All the reports i have read (espn/fox news / yahoo sports) all tell the same story. #1- HE KNEW. #2 - HE CAME #3 - HE WATCHED.

MLB -
Speaking of morons.
Lastings Millage, one of the best major league "ready now" prospects and one of the better names in baseball. Was features on a rap CD degrading women and using the N-word. NIMROD PLEASE!
L-MILLZ as he is know on the album and the song "bend ya kneez" features vulgar language twards women, several sexual referances and repeted use of the N-word.
Have we learned nothing from Don Imus? What was he doing? Sitting on the Dl and thinking to himself "You know i can play this game for a long time or totally screw up my future by making an obsene rap CD". "Wonder what i should do?". Was this a coin toss? Was Matt Hasselbeck the one tossing the coin and told him to "Take the ball and score"? What the Hell. I will never, ever, ever understand professional athlete's.
I grew up watching and playing baseball. Would have given my left nut to play professionally or even semi pro, or even been good enought to have a collage "look" at me. Motocross was not paying well at the time and the UFC did not exist so i got a job like everyone else. We as regualr people bitch about our jobs, lives, wives, ect. But baseball players complain about the long flights, long days, double headers and six figure salaries, for playing a sport they once loved to play. Mabey thats the problem. They play it so much it takes all of the joy out of it. Mabey we should have an 8 year rule like we do the president of the united states. After 8 years your done. I can think of the players right now i enjoy watching and who actually enjoy the game. David Wright(mets) Johnathan Papplebon (red sox) Dontell Willis (Marlins) Ryan Howard (philly). Know what they all have in common? Less than 5 years in the league. Sure there are some exceptions for the older players (Chipper Jones, Greg Maddux, john Smoltz, Omar Vizquel, and even Randy jiohnson seems to be having fun again) but think about the bitter players still playing the game because of pride or money, Bonds(pride), David Wells(money), Roger Clemens(pride and money), Beiggo (3,000 hit club). Sure they still contribute to there ball club (Wells piched a hell of a game the other night and lost due to lack of offence) but baseball is a "kids game to play and a "grow-ups" game to watch, atleast professionally. If your male and over 35 play softball. that's why the game was invented. I was at a game the other night and saw two kinds of players. #1 - The serious kind. Who kept yelling at his teamates and the ump for the screw ups. (In the words of Norm Edwards "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!). Then there was #2 - Mabey not the most athletic guy in the world but was having fun with it. Made some good play in the field, was alway supportive of his teamate when something bad happened and came into the dug out saying "Lets get um back guys!" after the other team rallied. That's the guy you want to play the game with. (in the word of Allen Iverson "We talking about PRACTICE!")
Look, barring a miracle, none of us will ever become Roy hobbs and make a major league comeback at age 36 (but the dream is still there) so what ever you do have fun with it. Every morning you wake up as a rookie again. Play like one, but act like an old pro.

And finally - News of the weird.
Congrats for Howard David Ludwig for getting his offical state of Ill gun permitt after his grandfather bought him a 12 guage Beretta shot gun as a gift. On the certificate is his picture with his age, height and weight. It list as follows.
Howard David Ludwig
Age: 10 months.
Height: 2ft 3in.
Weight: 20lb.
Look it up. True story.

Tueday 05-15-07

NFL
Farve will not be at minicamp to attend his daughter graduation. Since when do graduations last 3 days? This is a mandatory mini camp. I can see the whole family thing taking president but, why not at least go for a day to meet your new offensive players. (Wait, They didn't draft any. No wonder he skipping out.) That and the fact he waiting for some other big mouth to take all the focus off of him. Speaking of T.O.
T.O. says he learned "nothing" from old caoch Bill P. Now, i know the old saying about "if you can;t say anything nice, don't say anything at all" and i think he should keep him mouth shut. (We'll call this the "schilling rule"). Being in the lighting industry we learn to never - EVER - bad mouth anyone, especially after they have left a job because you never know where there going to land next. Same could happen to T.O. What would happen in two or three years when an aging T.O. is looking for his last stand and The Tuna got lured out of retirement to coach, say, TEXAS. Would Parcells take him on? (Hmmmmm, NO!.)
And in other news. Not a word on Vick this week. Looks like Bobby has the whole place on lockdown.

NHL
Buffalo is down 3-0 to Ottawa. Sorry guys. You done.

NBA
Jersey should start making tee times.
Golden state has to win tonight or that's that. IF they do knock one off tonight i'll be accepting reservations for room back on the bandwagon.
Spur's / Pheonix is starting to really heat up. If they keep up like this neither will have anything left for the next round. They should be handing down suspensions this afternoon for last nights altercation. (Which i think is total B/S. Let them play, let um fight, let um bleed.)
Dirk will be getting his MVP award today. (Can you hear the ackward silence?)

MLB
Congrats to Greg Maddux. Throws a 96 pitch, 5 hit, complete game
As opposed to
Dice K. 126 pitch complete game.
Remember Maddux is 14 years older than DK.
Also, Jason Bergmann for the Nats. Had a no hitter into the 8th until it was broken up by a homer. (DOH!)
And to the METS. They screwed Glavine, but still got the win in the 9th (on a walk!)

On a ramdon note.
Has anyone been watching Dancing with the stars?
Laila Ali is smoking hot for a boxer chick. (Can not tell if it's she hot or rich, or both.) I was walking threw the living room last night and my girlfriend had it on the tube. Speaking of smokin hot, check out the chick Apollo (think you spell it like that) is dancing with. Kim Johnson is her name i think. She's 18 and she's DROP DEAD HOT. If i was him i would be trying to tag that every night of the week. They say there "like brother and sister". Ever play "house" with your hot 2nd cousin? (NO? - try it, / YES? Then you know what i'm talking about). He has to be. He's a young kid. Plow it like a blizzard.

More tomorrow.

Weekend and JR

Stud(s) of the weekend.
Fred Lewis. Giants called him up for two weeks while Dave Roberts is on the DL. In his 1st game up this season he hit for the cycle. on mothers day!
Baron Davis and his Sick dunk over Kirilenko. (www.youtube.com is all over it.)

Dud(S) of the weekend
The Orioles. Blowing a 5 run lead in the bottom of the 9th. I watched almost no TV this weekend and only saw the highlites(more on that later) but that was just SILLY....
Ryan Howard to the DL.
Bode Miller quites the US Ski team. (more later)

NBA
Mark my words.
Chicago is done.
Jersey is done.
Pheonix is done.
Golden State (too bad.) is D-O-N-E

NASCAR
Jeff wins. (sucks for my pool). JR comes in 8th. And no one is paying attention to any other story. The HMS dominance is a story all in itself, but it's not really the main story. If you look at all of the COT races the won, something happened to help them win. Someone else had a bad pit, Wrong adjustments and the car went to shit, ect.....
No one is talking about the following.
The season Jamie Mcmurry is having.
The come back Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman are having.
Matt Kenseth's robot is back behind the wheel.
I'm offically knick-naming Denny Hamlin "Almost". Well we almost won, AGAIN !

JR -
You have alot of time to think when you go fishin. the fact that Dale is leaving DEI should not come as that much of a shock to all. The writing was on the wall along time ago.
#1 - Hires Martin Truex JR. One of the most sought after roockies in the sport and DEI lands him? during the interview process you can almost see Dale telling him "One day, This will all be yours."
#2 - Almost to the day after Truex is hired he start "dropping hints" about A) Bad crew decisions B) Lack of equiptment C) Not having a 3rd team to "learn" from.
#3 - Start his own Busch program to develope drivers.
#4- He also gradually got more and more vocal about wanting ownership of his fathers team. I am in total agreement with everyone that Theresa E. is a total nutjob, bitch, slut. money hungry whore for not giving him what he wants and his fathers company. It would be something totally diffrent if T. was actually Dale's mom and had given birth to him, then I might have seen this diffrent. Her name will never be looked at the same in this industry (One of my friends has already started calling her "Fuk-me-sa", don't worry did not make sence to me either), especially by the diehard fans. Shake your head all you want but now there is no turning back for Little E.
So where's he gonna land?
RCR is the obvious choice. #1 - no 4th driver. #2 - Still own the right to car number #3 and #3 - a chevy house. I would love to see him get into the #3, Get really, really, really pissed and start dressing like Johnny Cash, and driving like his father.
Rumor has it Budwiser might not follow him.
No big thing. With his popularity the would be nuts not to. But the again stranger things have happened. (JR leaving DEI). If he signes with another brand of beer just immagine the what would happen. say he signs with... (let me think)..... Wait, i got it. He signs with Segrams Wine Coolers. That would be hillarious. Imagine 5 million rednecks switching from BUD to Wine Coolers? (Where's the redneck comedy tour when you need them). Package store around the country ordering thousand of cases of coolers? That's off the wall. Paying for in on there
VISA CARD
Visa is the supposite from rummer for his main sponsor. that's a far cry from the "welcome to the new generation of Wrangler". I could not wait for those commercials to start. Especially of they come out with some of the "priceless" commercials.
$200.00 for wine coolers
$50.00 for ice.
$75.00 gas for motor home.
Throwing up peach cobbler cooler during the checkered flag: Priceless......
Let the bidding war begin
Dale say's "It's not about the biggest pay check". Yes, and no. Of course it about a big paycheck. Who ever wins the cup gets what, Like 3.5 million or so? He wants to win, PERIOD. Why not take in a six or seven figure paycheck in the process? There is no open market comparision to him anywhere is sports. Mabey the only one close is Payton Manning with all the products he pedels. No one else comes even close.

Dave
