LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT

MY AFTERNOON...
Now, It's been a long week and this just topped it off. I worked late tonight after 5pm to finish up some job we had due 1st thing tomorrow morning.
I go to leave the office and I see this...

The black car is mine.
There is a Jazzersize place next door to my office. You would think that if your going to work out or Jazzersize you may want to walk a little before you went in. Kind of a warm up if you want to call it that. But in there infinite wisdom they decided to part right behind me and block me in the office.
AND......................
RIGHT BEHIND ME....................
Now, I have been at work since 7am and it was now 6:30pm. I really want to leave. But I can not. I'm not too happy at this point.
What should I do?
Flatten there tires?
Siphon out all of there gas?
Stick a banana in there tail pipe? (I love that joke.)
Leave them a note?
Well, I went next door. All I did was ask the owner if he could make an announcement that in the future no one block me in. The owner is a crotchety old man that should not be running an gym or anything else to do with health. Anyway.....
He started to yell at me...
My people know not to park over there.....
Are you the one that parks in my spot...
What?........
Are you talking to me?................
Tick......
*
Tick.....
*
Tick......
*
BEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went OFF...........................
I have been seeing the new commercials for the Incredible Hulk movie. Remember the old Hulk tv show when he use to use the line "Don't make me angry. You would not like me when I'm angry".
NOW I'M ANGRY...
Let just say it was not a good scene. I have never threatened to hurt an old man. But i almost did. After auguring with him for more than 5 minutes and him swearing that none of his class was parked behind me I went back to my car and waited. After a few minutes the 1st car left. She had on leotards. Then the 2nd car left, sweat pants.
I was finally able to leave. I did not think that it could get any worse. It did. I just about got run over by some dude getting on the highway just about ran me over while talking on his cell phone. I could not get home fast enough.
Now I can not wait to go to sleep.
That's enough for tonight.
Later.
PEACE.

HOLY CRAP

I have not posted anything in about two weeks. Must be something wrong with me. I have been very busy. And I thought about posting at my camper the last two weekends.

Lets get back to business.

MLB....

For all the talk in the off season about the Yankee's, Sox and Blue Jays the story of the 1st two months of baseball has been Florida. The RAY's....

Have you jumped on the bandwagon yet? Hey, I was on this wagon a few weeks ago. I had a feeling about them this year. Al be it weer still before the all star break, but so far it's been a banner year.

I started this entry a week ago.,
I never got really far with this. Just so much happening. And happening every where. i can not keep up.
You know the saying "In his own little world". Well that where I feel like I am at this point. I realize that gas is at 4 bucks a gallon, china had an earthquake, and Baseball is in full swing. But i can not keep up anymore.
I feel lost.
I work, I workout, I fish, I eat, I sleep.
That's about it.

Someone say me....
There has to be something more. I am going to take a good ling ride on the mountain like the weekend and think about something i can do to break up this up.
Maybe I need a vacation?

I don't know.

I'm going to sleep.

Night all.........................

Peace.

Tuesday Night Run Down...

The Ray's.......
Remember a few post back when I picked the Tampa Bay Ray's to be my bandwagon team? Well...
Seams everyone else has jumped on the wagon. I know it is only April but there in 1st place and will (should) have a winning record at the end of April for the first time in there history.
There ahead of Toronto, New york, and Boston.

Speaking of New York, right now there getting spanked by Detroit 5-2. The Redsox and the Blue Jays are in a 0-0 tie in the 7th.

But Tampa Bay in 1st place? Wow! Rocco Baldelli is not even in the line up. I am just amazed. I was watching sports Center last night and everyone was saying this could not last. In theory I agree with them, but I also think that these are a bunch of kids that are just playing there guts out and having a lot of fun with it. I would like to see them make a serious run at the division. do you think seeing as i have already professed my love for the Ray's that it would not be hypocritical to go out and buy a jersey?

I remember going down to Tampa Bay and seeing a Seattle game the 1st year Ichiro came into the league. it was mod August and there was about 100 people in the stands. We actually got seat right behind the home plate. I was actually sitting right behind a scout from the Mariners. He had actually timed him going to first base. It was something like 3.9 seconds. Which at the time was absolutely amazing. Now, unless your a catcher you can make it to first base in under 5 seconds.

HELLS KITCHEN....................
It's nice to have Gordon Ramsey back on TV. He is like Simon from American Idol but with a knife in his hand.
He serves a $200.00 pizza? Holy crap. that had better be the best pizza I ever had in my life.

SPRINT.......
I keep seeing the commercials for the new Sprint and this new CEO named Dan. Can you actually e-mail this dude? dan@sprint.com
Can you? I'm gonna try it and see what happens. I will let you know tomorrow. After all i have a sprint phone. So technically i am a customer.

There is nothing like breakfast at 10pm in the evening...
I get hungry for eggs late at night. Must be something with me. Ever since I put on the weight I get hungry at the weirdest times of the day. I could go for some coffee cake as well. Maybe with a nice glass of milk.

I'm outta here...................

Peace.

MOE, LARRY and CURLEY....

Remember the Ducks???

Well, I found out they have been named by a neighbor. Moe, Larry and Curley.
I went fishing this morning and they followed me everywhere.
Here is a couple shots................

I could not believe it. Every time I turned around there they were. I remember seeing them last year every once and a while but not like this.
It was a long day and a long weekend. Gonna cut this short. Have a good night all.

Saturday Night in the Camper

I am watching Hoosiers.....

The TV reception in the park is terrible. Thank God for the DVD player. I fell asleep last night watching SpaceBalls. I know someone who will not be thrilled with my movie selection but you can only find so much at the bargain bid in Wal-Mart.

We went fishing just about all day today.

I started at my favorite fishing hole just a few steps from the camper here..

I love this little fishing hole. So far this year I have pulled out
2 salmon, 3 bass, 2 rainbow's and 1 brook trout. Along with a host of other's that got thrown back.

The stream ends here and takes an abrupt left hand turn and then head further south. During the rainy season this rock looks like a ride from an amusement park. Last year when we had all that rain the water was cresting at the mid part of the rock as you see it here.
So I played around in this pool for a better part of an hour ,I think, and then decided to take off down stream and see what I could find.

So I walked for about 15 minutes and wound up here....

Ever spot on this river is absolutely beautiful. The only problem with this spot is that I can see a little construction off in the distance.

This river follows the Army Core Of Engineers water line that I think runs from the dam all the way down to Watertown.
I got just about nothing out of this spot. I hooked a brown trout and got him up to shore. He was only a little guy and as I was bringing him out of the water he wiggled off the hook. Was not a big deal and decided to keep heading down stream.

The trails that the bikes have cut up are pretty impressive. It's like walking threw a tunnel of tree's. Being this early in the season the whole woods smells like fresh cut grass.
So I kept walking. I walked farther this time than I ever have before. Let me back up. I have been this far before but I was on a mountain bike ride and had to pay closer attention to the path than I did site seeing.

I am not sure how far I walked but I can around this benn in the trail and saw this............

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhh..................

BABY.........................

Come to DADDY............

I fished this hole for about an hour. I was just killing this area. They must not have been feed in a week. Soon as I dropped anything in the water they were all over it. I pulled (and released) 6 (count them 6!) keepers. 4 rainbow's, 1 brown and a brook trout.

I was starting to get a little tired and followed the river back. I was taking a little extra time on the way back and dropping down to some of the smaller pools to see what they looked like. One of the more memorable pools was this one where I spent the better part of a half and hour. As I was casting out and playing with some different bait when this caught the corner of my eye.

There were three of them just minding there own business and taking in what was now the afternoon sun. They kept coming up and swimming by me. I could not resist taking a couple more shots. Here ya go..

I got the second picture as they were going down stream to get a bit to eat. I had the camera on auto focus and did not see the tree limb in front of me. But you get the gist of it.

I made my way back to the camper and did a little work around the 2nd home. Went out and got some pizza. I did manage to sneak in another hour down at the little fishing hole a couple of paces down. Pulled up an 8 inch rainbow but it got really dark really quick and decided to come in and take in a movie.
Well, gotta run. Going to get some shut eye. The fish get up pretty early in the morning and I will be waiting for them.

PEACE.......................

It's Monday

And it feels like Monday.....

We opened the camper this weekend.

That was the best feeling in the world to walk into it and start putting stuff away and getting ready for the season. Above is a shot of the camper. I love this camper. Sleeps 6 comfortable and is a lot of fun.

I do not have the entire thing set up yet. My father should be up there a few days this week and finish up what i have not yet.

One of the best things is at night when we fire up the campfire. We have an old rim as a fire pit and we put the folding chairs around it and sit there for hours and bullshit. Above is a shot of the pit.
Opening day of Fishing season......
I went with just the basics. Just a pole and a few pieces of tackle. And the determination to go catch something. I left the camper and headed down stream to find something. The water lever is descent this time of year bit not where it should be, but good enough so that even the low area's are deep enough to cause a problem.
I headed off the the farthest point and started throwing out. All was good. I got a Pike in one of the deeper pools, hook a nice large mouth in one of the access streams and also wound up playing with a few Rainbows. After a few hours of playing around I was all set to just star heading back up stream and call it a day. UNTIL.................
I saw HIM..................
Right out of the corner of my eye...
2 feet deep....
Sitting in the sun.....
NO, Basking in the sun......
Just casually waving back and forth in the same little spot in a fairly stiff current. He was just sitting there waiting for his lunch. It was about 10ish and I would have thought I would not see anything like him out this time of the late morning. I actually sat there and watched him for a little while. Should I try and get him or should I let him just hang out and enjoy the day? After all I was a day late (It was Sunday) and he had survived opening day Saturday.
F-It. Let's play. If he is going to just sit there and taunt me like that I am going to have to take a shot. So, Find a nice spot about 5 yards behind him and toss the bait up stream and let it float back to him and let him open wide. I did not have my fly rod on my at that point and he did not look like he was too interested in them. So i was just using a worm on a hook and a 4ft ugly stick. I can not tell you how many time i casted off perfectly and and landed about 5-7 feet in front of him nice and softly and it just floated by him. Again, and again, and again, AND AGAIN....
When you get to this moment in your life when you see something in front of you that you really want and you try everything you can to land it and It just does not take the bait there is a few things you can do.
Keep trying,
Give up,
Or keep going till you win.
I do not give up that easily............
(This is like golf for people who can't play golf. I hate putting. I can never read the green right. Go left, go right. I just hit the f-ing thing straight and hope for the best. Fishing on the other hand.. I happen to enjoy and do very well.)
So I took a set on the side of the river. I spoke to him and told him if he let me catch him I would not kill him. I would not eat him. I would not take to my neighbors to kill or eat him. I would put him back. Unharmed. And back in his original spot.
It took him a while but i finally got threw to him. After about another half and hour he finally have in a took the bait. It was a perfect cast. It landed about 8 feet in front of him and caught the current perfectly. Started rolling down street. He saw it, flinched and BANG!, hit it with everything he had. I caught him good on the side of the jaw and knew i had him. He put up a great fight.
Here is where it get interesting...............
He made a bee-line for the log in the center of the stream and actually wound up pulling a buggs bunny around the log. I had to move quick to get the line untangled and i moved a little too quick. I lost my footing, I lost my balance. I did not, however, loose a grip on my pole. I wound up a little more than thigh deep in the river. But, on the brite side I did manage to get a good angle on the log and wound up untangling the line. So I pulled myself back to shore and reeled him in.
TRUE TO MY WORD.........
I let him go....................
But I had a little conversation with him while I was taking him off the line. I told him I would be back and that he would see me again. I am sure that I will see him again. I am sure I will see him again before the season is over. He was as beautiful out of the water as he was in it. I was just sorry that I did not have my camera on me or someone did not walk by to see him. From the tip of his lips to the tip of his tail he was from my index finger to my elbow. Not too shabby for just messing around on a Sunday afternoon.
More pictures will follow....
When the leaves come in and we get the camper all set up I will snap off some more shots and let everyone see the surroundings that I get to see every weekend.
As long as the weather is good this weekend and I have my mountain bike out of the shop I should be able to snap off some pretty good pictures this weekend. Now that I know how to post them you will be seeing more.

THURSDAY NIGHT WRAP

I Love Thursdays.......
Know why? Yup! One day closer to Friday.

Now that the summer is here it is going to be the last day at the house until Sunday night at 7pm. Fridays are a wonderful time, I actually enjoy going to work on Fridays and getting everything done and watching the clock until it hits 5pm. Into the car and off to Thomaston. When i hit the entrance to route 9 i know i am almost there and it is time to kick back and relax. Most people take a week of and go somewhere tropical or that they have never been before, but me, I got the place where i am most comfortable. Hanging out in the sticks of Connecticut (Yes we have wooded area's in CT, ALOT of them) enjoying a late night fire and cooking steaks, potato's and corn on the cob.
(Well I did make someone an offer to go to Punta Cana but I am pretty sure I got turned down. Married. Nuff said.)
After I quit drinking and started actually taking care of my body the woods became a refuge for me. It's not really the WOODS.. We have the 30ft trailer parked at a camp site with about 50 other trailers. But no one really bothers anyone else unless you need help with something and actually ask for it. Anyway, I started working out at this little gym and also mountain biking during the evening and taking the bike to the store and around town. Now when I take my vacation I spend about 10 straight days up there. Here is how the days are going to go.
Wake up.
Eat.
Go to the gym.
Come back and relax.
Go fishing.
Take a bike ride.
Take a nap.
Eat.
Go back to the gym.
Came back and relax.
Eat.
Go fishing.
Build a fire.
Take an afternoon ride.
Sit and relax while making smores.
Go to sleep.
All that between the hours of 7am and 11pm.
Sound good? You bet your ass it does.

The weather just hit the 70's......
I got a call from my mountain bike this morning and it is ready to go. There comes a point during every season that you just know it's that time of the year.....
How do you know?

Baseball really starts getting going.....
Like the Yankee's and Red Sox going into back to back series. Yankee's beat up on the Sox and then the Sox return the favor. Speaking of the Red Sox, when the hell did they pick up Sean Casey from Detroit? How did I miss that trade? Was I in North Carolina? Did this just happen when i was in New Mexico? He looks good in a Sox uniform, Still has the high leg kick to get himself jacked up.
A-Rod is off to a hot start, So is Manny. Speaking of Manny....
This is a contract year for him and he is off to one of the best starts he has had since he was in Cleveland. I think it is because he wants to be put into the same category and people who are in the Hall Of Fame now. He has had some of the best years of his career in Boston. Helped them win tow World Series rings (Two, Count them.) I think he want to be one of the big 3 up here in the eastern states. Right now the THREE is...
#1 - Brady
#2 - A-Rod / Jeter
#3 - Garnett / Peirce / Allen
Schilling is no longer in the conversation because he has not pitched in like two years. Does he still do the http://www.38pitches.com/ blog? I have not been on it in a while. Besides he is hurt and should be rehabbing.

Around the league.....
Random thoughts......
I see the Tigers have finally found out what it is like to win again.
Washington's hot start seams to have cooled off.
The Marlins must really be missing Miggy right about now.
The CUBS suck, They got destroyed by the Reds.
I would hate to be a Philly's fan this year. It looks like there going to bring every game down to the last inning. (Except for today).
Griffey is only 4 home runs away from 600. Why is no one making a big deal about that?

Getting late and i have to get up early.

PEACE................

No Jet Lag

Surprising but no jet lag.....
I went threw three time zones got very little sleep and still have no ill effects from the 3 days of non stop travel.
Albuquerque was nice, very nice.

OLD TOWN.
What a simply gorgeous little town. Being in the lighting business i notice the architecture of almost every place i go right away. This town with all the adobe architecture is just a joy to walk around. The only thing that got to me way how dry the air was. After about 3 hour i felt like i could drink a lake. Albuquerque for being such a dry town as it is makes a lot of ice cream. When you parched, tired, and a little lost there is nothing like sitting in the shade and eating a home made ice cream cone. I have some picture that i am going to try and post.

I Really hate flying.
That is not an understatement. I can barely sleep on the plane and even with the i-pod the time goes by so slowly. On all 4 of my flight i happened to be in seat F. Seat F is by the window. When i get nervous i either smoke or drink a lot of water/soda. Problem lies that right before the flight I go to the bathroom. But as soon as we take off I feel like I have to go again. Then when i do really have to go the dude in the isle seat is already asleep and I can not bring myself to wake him up and ask him to move.

I Love Southerners.
I love how polite they are, even when you face them with adversity. While sitting at dinner when I was asked how i take my coffee, she asked "how I take it?" "WOW, So many comments, so little time. I was in a pretty good mood and came back with a fairly descent comment. ("I don't know what the guys have told you, but I am not like that.") She smiled, then asked if i would prefer cream and sugar on the side. I politely said yes and was done with it.

Southern food....
WOW, WOW, WOW. Going down south and eating is like stepping into another world. just the best tasting food with all of the spices and everything else they throw into it. I have no idea of half of the stuff i was eating but it was good.

Late and i gotta run.
Should have a much longer post tomorrow.

Later,

DJD

2 DAYS AND COUNTING

2 DAYS AND COUNTING TILL...........

I leave for Albuquerque New Mexico...

I guess we really did not think when we booked the airline tickets. My flight takes off at 6am on Sunday morning. Which means.

#1 - I have to get up at 3am to get to the airport by 4ish to check in my car. Then take the ride into the airport and get threw security. The sit in the airport and wait, some more.

#2 - Have to take the 35 minute drive to the other side of Hartford at 3:30 in the morning. With the other morons out on the road at 3am in the morning. That is kind of scary.

#3 - I do not go to bed too early so getting up at 3am should be pretty interesting. I land in NM at about 11:30 after a short (hour and a half) layover in Dallas. I was planning on renting a car and going to old town for a few hours before hitting the bed and getting rested for Mondays meetings. But NooooooooooooooHooooooooooooooooo......................

#4 - They schedule a meeting, a "get together" meeting at the hotel for 5pm on Sunday night. I know exactly what is going to be. There will be about 45 guys there from around the country jet lagged and drinking getting ready for the meetings. There goes the small amount of time i had for myself. (Not happy about that fact.)

2 DAYS UNTIL I TURN 37...
I am not happy about that fact either. I like being 36, I liked being 25 better, but that will never happen again. I am really not turning 37 I will actually be about 2.7 years old. That is about how long I have been sober now.
Funny, I turn 37 on Saturday and less than 24 hrs later i am on a flight to NM. I really did not think about it when i said i would go for the meeting.
It will be nice to see another part of the country. Who knows when i will be back. But again with the schedule i have to keep there will not be alot of time to go out and look around. To bad everyone tells me i have to see so and soo when i get there.
I suppose if i would have thought this thing out i would have flow in on Saturday and spent my birthday in New Mexico driving around and look at everything. Hind site IS always 20/20.

Well It's late and i am getting tired.
We'll deal with the Met's, Yankee's, Red Sox, and Seattle tomorrow night.

PEACE.

Workout, Baseball and Idol

In no particular order.....

IDOL GIVES BACK.........
This is kind of like the St. Jude's but with entertainment. (Wait, that was kind of bad. I love St. Jude's and give every year.)
I do watch this every year (for the last three) and am quite glad this year they are focusing a little more on the problems in America. It's only about 9:30 and they have still not kicked anyone off yet. I think were going to be surprised this week with who gets booted.

BASEBALL..................
I love this time of the year. The grass smells a little better. The sun comes up a little earlier, Andy Pettite is coming off his first DL stint. I can not believe the Tigers have still not won a game yet.
Only 6-7 games into the season and i have already heard some of them talking about the playoffs. IE: The Tigers are 0-6 and no team 0-6 have ever made it to the playoffs. Seee.....
Did you know Baltimore is in 1st place? The Red Sox are in last place and the Yankee's are in the tanker with everyone else.
Granted, this is only a week and a half into the season but.. If someone had told you in spring training that this was to happen in the first week you would have thought them crazy? I would have.
I think it is still a little Earlie to write anyone off thought. My team to watch for this year is the Ray's. Not the Devil Rays, But the Ray's..... Catch the fever...............

WORKOUT......
I am back to a pretty descent schedule. I feel better than i have in several weeks.
Random Thought: If i had a body like Maria Carie's I'd never leave the house. Holy crap does she look good. I though the camera put on 10lb's?
Getting back into a routine and pushing myself to work out every day was the best thing I have done in the past few weeks. I have been going 3 days on and 3 days off and the one day off i have been trying to do a little cardio. The weather is getting better and i have been itching to get on the mountain bike and take a long ride.

Forrest vs, Rampage....
This is going to be a fun season on the ultimate fighter. Forrest Griffin vs. Rampage Jackson. I have no clue if they even like each other or not but went the season is complete i have a feeling they will not like each other at all. (This usually happens.) Dana is pretty good at matching the coaches up to opponents that already have a descent "dislike" of one another. But get them going head to head for 13 or 14 weeks and as soon as the get in the octagon things have a way of exploding.
Rampage and Forrest are both pretty funny dude's so i am going to be tune in just for the comedy factor of the whole thing. I am going to be making a point of trying to blog while the show is on.
Jeremiah from Mississippi? Holy crap. Kid has no teeth but a ton of heart. (You'll see him again. Trust me. If Dana mentions something about this kid on the air, You'll be seeing him again somewhere, somehow.)

Gotta run. Up early tomorrow. Job to quote, other reps to piss off.

Peace.....................

3 Days in Asheville

3 Days in Asheville, N.C.
Beautiful town and very nice people.
With all of the meetings and class's i took there was not a lot of time for site seeing. The closest i got to seeing something was when i took a walk to the shell station to get some water and a pack of smokes. (yah, I'm still smoking,)

The Holiday Inn was quite pleasant and had some pretty descent food. Breakfast at a hotel, alot of times, leaves something to be desired. But this was quite enjoyable. I just felt a little sorry for those who spent the entire night in the bars and all they could woof down was a little coffee and some toast.

Fish out of water...
I did feel a little out of place. N.C. is a little layed back. Up here things tend to move a little faster than the rest of the country. I was only there for a few days but i did manage to come back with a little bit of an accent. Ya'll is the most common of the phrases i came back with.

The plane ride.........
To Asheville was uneventful. Plenty of room to stretch out on the Delta flights. The only thing that got me was when we got to Charlotte. From Charlotte to Asheville is about 2 hours by car. By plane it is 23 minutes. With propellers.
I did not think they used planes with propellers anymore. (Apparently, they still do) I have never been on a prop plane before and i got stuck one seat ahead to where is spins. All i did for most of the plane ride was stare out the window and repeat "Please do not stop, Please do not stop".

Now the plane rides back.................
Was a completely different story.....
They were having tornado's in Atlanta so everything from the Mason Dixon line up and down was all screwed up. Luckily my plane was not effected, but there were scrambling to get people on to different planes top get them home. I spoke with one guy who was going to California by was of Minnesota.
Now i do not mind (much) people sitting next to me, but, I was kind of in a bad mood. On the ride down I was sitting next to one of the guys who came up from D.C. Nice kid and we had a very pleasant conversation about business for a few minutes and then i turned my I-pod on and took a 30 minute nap. Before in know it were down in the Cincinnati Airport. (Which, but the way, is actually in Kentucky.)
I get off the plane and walk the 3 miles to the other side of the terminal where i am to catch my connecting flight. (not a bad walk. alot of different lighting fixture all around the airport so I was complete occupied for the time being.)
I get to my destination and see my flight is delayed for about a hour. No problem. I'm hungry and happened to have passed an Outback Steakhouse on my way. I'm hungry. Lets get some food. I walk in and sit at the bar. Order a 7up and some wings. While sitting there watching sports center i see an ash tray's on the bar. Being from out of town i ask the bar tender if we could actually smoke at the bar. Why Yes, he replies. So i fire up a smoke. This dude next to me on his 5th rum and coke starts mumbling under his breath about me lighting up. He's drunk and i am not in a good mood. Bad move on his part. For those of you who do happen to smoke it is a pretty descent science when you exhale and where you can direct it to and what kind of stream you can produce by how you position your mouth. (I am very good at it.)
(one more point before i go any further. I am 5-10" 240lb, he's 5-nothing and 150lb with his suite on.)
Inhale, Enjoy, Pull lips to right, small round opening pointed directly at his head.
EX..................
HALE...........................
SLOWLY..........................
With Purpose...................................................

The bartender kinda knew what i was doing after about 3 drags and gave me the look. I quit but to prove my point a turned my head towards the gentleman and politely asked him if he had anything else he would like to get off of the 3 working brain cells he still had functioning. Guess he was still rational and proceeded to keep his mouth shut. I, on the other hand, went back to being my usual polite self and after each drag blew the smoke directly into the air at the exhaust fan.

Loading and unloading of your baggage.....
I know the airlines have rules about how many bags you can take on the plane. But on my flight from Cincy to Hartford everyone must have had 3 bags. No one could find a place to store there luggage with out going incredible Hulk on the overhead compartments. Well everyone finally got there luggage away and we take off. I did not notice it much at first until "professor-smell-alot" besides me decided to turn on the air. He F-ing STUNK...........
He looked like a normal guy. Business suite. He, like everyone else, had too many bags and actually had to kick one of his carry on's under the seat. When i say kick, Like a mule kicking a farmer, KICK.
Not a word was said between us on the way up. I could tell he was not from these parts. Because when i nudged his elbow away from my rib with a nice little elbow he looked at me like i had stole his lunch money. Look, my smirk, eye's, and body language told him, I'm not too happy right now so move your elbow away from MY armrest and ribs and i will not have to rip your head off.
He agreed. I popped in a piece of gum and turned my air blower towards his to clear the air of the stink and i was pretty well for the balance of the flight.

The drive home.................
Was o.k.
I know everyone just got off the plane and are tired, But do you really need to do 50mph in a 65mph zone? Soon as i got on 91 and passed all of you who were driving and sleeping on the way home i was good.
Cruise control set at 73? - check
Window down to let some cold air in? - check
Radio on full blast? - check
Greenday on the radio? - check

Airport to home - 29 minutes.
from door to bathroom, 1.5 seconds.
Bathroom to bed - 3 minutes (pit stop for a glass of milk and a ice cram sandwich)
Getting in your own bed after a long trip - priceless........

Peace...............

Wednesday Morning

So here i am at the Airport..................
Waiting for my plane to take me to North Carolina. I really do not like flying so this should be interesting. I am usually pretty quiet on the plane. I have the latest addition of Sports illustrated to get me threw the flight. Just wish i had remembered to pack the new Muscle and Fitness i bought last night.
I fell asleep last night listening to the Uconn game from the other room. Last thing i remember they were down by 7 with about 11 to go. Guess i missed the best part of the game.
I did not work out last night as i had to finish packing and double check what i packed 6 times. Then again this morning i checked again.
Toiletry's - check
Laptop - check
Cell phone - check
underwear - check
ID - check
Money - check
Credit card - check
Dress cloths - check.
But for some reason i still think i am forgetting something....................
I went down the list over a dozen times. You know it's not a good trip unless you forget something. And i have A feeling i did but i just do not know what it is.

Well it almost 8am and time to pack up and wait around for the plane to land.

Have a good day.

PEACE............

SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS.....
There is Sunday Night Baseball.
I love Sunday Night Baseball. Joe Morgan, Jon Miller from Washington park.
Must be springtime. So far i must say that the most enjoyable part of this game so far is listening to President Busch speak with Joe and Jon and not have a script in front of him. He is actually a pretty funny guy. Although i think Morgan was trying to score a few brownie point with the extended K-Zone.
Even the commercials are mostly baseball.
4th inning.
Good to see Nick Johnson back this year. He will now be forever in the record books with driving in the 1st ever run at Nationals Field. Although it was immediately shown up by Chipper Jones hitting a line drive out of the ball park.
The Braves look a little different this year. It was a shame to see Andrue Jones leave for the west coast but thing must change in baseball. But Paul LoDuca still has a job. (how the F did that happen. Wait, he had already signed the contract after the Mitchell report came out.)
It's kind of hard to remember that just a few years ago the National were the Expo's and playing ball over the border.
Jon Miller and Joe Morgan must be very good friends. They have been working together so long that it almost seams like there sitting in your living room and your having a conversation with them as your watching the game.
I did not get to see any of the red Sox / Dodgers game but from the highlights i was it was a pretty descent game. Sometime i think the folks on the west coast have a bit of an advantage. Say your a Yankee's or Red Sox fan living in Vegas or California or anywhere on the west coast. Sunday Night Baseball comes on at about 5:30 and you can see the whole game, get all the highlights and still mow the lawn before it gets dark during summertime. (Alright maybe not mow the lawn. Buy midsummer it all brown.)
6th inning already.
Good to see Peter Gammon's back again. Nice little piece on Chipper by Peter. Chipper is only 34? I thought he was my age (37) not that 3 years make a big difference in any normal persons life, but in baseball, that is a lifetime. (Or a great contract year.)

MENS FINAL FOUR...
UNC
MEMPHIS
KANSAS
UCLA
Well, who did not see that coming. Well all except for Davidson who tried there damdist to make it interesting, and the did for a lot longer than only one of us thought they would.

Late Season Hockey (minor league)
I took my brother and his kids to the Bridgeport Sound Tiger's VS. The Hartford Wolfpack. I wanted the to see a real hockey game and get them into it. We all had a good time. My only problem was every time i walk into that place i wind up dropping about $100 on food and a t-shirt. Mostly food. $4.50 for a pizza the size of a quarter, #3.00 for a "small" Sprite and $4.00 for a twist pretzel. Not to mention every time i want an Ice cream it's $5.00. (o.k. I just looked and i spent $79.00 at the game. The T-shirt was $19.00 you figure out the rest.) All i know is that i downed about 4000 calories this evening and right now i can not wait to work out tomorrow.

TOMORROW WORK OUT....
Should be all legs. I usually partially enjoy working legs. But like any man i enjoy working on the muscles from the waist up. It is the ego thing that gets to most men, me included. Ever see a huge guy at the gym with a huge pair of sweat pants on? Yup, skinny little legs. I'm not one to be like that. I will work my legs three time a week t=just to try and keep up with my upper body. I do not want to go the the beach or the pool in a pair of shorts and look like a weeble wobbly standing on his head.

It has been a long day with a lot of driving and a lot of watching the game. I am going to enjoy the last two inning of Jon and Joe and then hit the bed.

Have a good night.

Have a good night..............

Peace.

WORK, WORKOUT, UNC

UNC
Good game so far. Louisville is putting up a good fight. All day long listening to the talk radio the have been talking about UCLA and UNC. I guess deservedly so. UCLA just rolled this afternoon and right now UNC likes like there going to roll over Louisville.
This has been a pretty fun week. My bracket was busted after the Uconn loss and Davidson making it out of the 1st round. I have said before and i will say again that i am not a huge basketball guy but this year i have paid a little more attention than usual to the games. I put together my picks for the bracket in about 30 seconds and when filling it out did not really care if i won anything.

WORK
Went to work for a little while this morning to try and clean things up for my trip this week to North Carolina. (Now i know why the plane tickets were so expensive.)
Seams like i could stay at work for the entire weekend and still not finish everything that i need. I went in for almost 5 hours and walked out pretty happy but still did not finish everything i wanted.

WORKOUT...
Yup, back at it again tonight. I am still working out based upon how my body feels. I have a solid routine that i am trying to follow. But i have been taking a few extra reps to try and push myself a little when i actually feel like pushing. The more i let my body tell me what it wants to do the better i have been feeling every day. I almost feel like Hulk Hogan. I have been eating right and taking my vitamins. I am still smoking but have cut back quite a bit since i started working out again on consistent basis.
The weather up here is on the verge of breaking on the warm side but just has still not turned the corner. I can not wait for the nights when it is light until 9pm and the temp is in the 50 to 60 to 70 degree range. I will bitch when it gets into the 80 and 90's but i should learn to take the good with the bad.

2nd Half of the game...
Is just about to start. I need some food and gonna sit and watch the entire 2nd half with out switching the channels and seeing what else is on.

Have a good night............

Peace.

TUESDAY NIGHT

Nope... Did not work out tonight........
I know. I'm a moron. But i just felt like crap tonight and every move i make reminds me of what i did over the last few days. Plus i went to a wake of a friend and did not get back to the house until after 7pm tonight and had lost all of the daylight. I know that is an excuse but tonight it is a good one.
I will be back in my own little dungeon tomorrow night.

I am watching the biggest loser though.....
Jay, Last week he only pulled a 3 pound weight loss and was awarded 10 grand or the option to buy that pound back for the 10 grand he won. What an F-ing moron. He just pulled a 5 lb weight loss. bob changed his workout routine. Of course he is going to pull a better number.

Roger,
Another 6 pounds. This man has about another 60lb to loss by the end of the show i bet.

Dan,
I like this kid and think he has a good shot of winning. He kinda funny as well. I love seeing the old photo next to them when there on the scale. Gives you a reminder of how far these people have come. -1lb what? Holy shit? WOW WOW WOW WOW......

Mark,
I really do not like this man. Kind of a jerk to me anyway. -4lb. He safe. FK. Think i have to see him again next week. everyone thinks he only lost 4 pounds but it is the percentage of weight loos compared to your body weight.

Ali
She looks f-ing HOT. Remember what she looked like when she got in the game? She lost 85 pounds and is down to 149. WOW. Back to her later.

Kelly,
She also looks good in a "mom lost weight" kinda way. (Commercial) 7lb!!!!!! By by Mark. Wait, maybe not. The men have two votes and the women have two votes. So anything can happen. Let's see who gets the shaft.

I can not believe Roger has lost 127lb. And Ali just looks phenomenal. She did most of this on her own and at home with out a coach. When she came back she looked awesome and now with 3 more weeks of training and training her right she has just had the three best weeks. And she just looks WOW.
The brother are a strong alliance and i thing that Mark will probably stay. But i will know in a minute.
I do not know how i got hooked on the biggest loser club. Here i am trying to gain muscle every week and not trying to take off any weight to make myself bigger. i was never a big kid. I was the kid that everyone picked on as a kid. Now being bigger than the average man and just a little smaller than the average bear i feel good when i walk down a hallway and people move out of my way.
Danny has to go.
To bad. I'm gonna miss the kids humor. And he went out with class and style.

Baseball......................
Canseco has a new book coming out that will shock the world. Pretty good marketing strategy pulling A-Rod's name out of the hat. AND he claims that Alex went after his wife. Alex's wife is a smoking hot chick and Alex could get any woman he wants in the world. Why would he go after Jose's wife? I am not sure about this. Although when his first book came out ever one questioned that one as well. Now he is sitting back and telling everyone I told you so.....
This is a book that i am actually going to buy. Does anyone know then this book goes on sale? Is it in print yet? Can we read parts of it on the net yet?

Anyway the best sports news i read today was that Manny hit #491 today at the opener and won a million yen. (That's $10,000 Give or take the market.)

Tired. Time to go to bed.

Later..... Peace...................................

Let's see how much i can get done in the next hour.

DAY #2 Back working out.
In the words of Nirvana and Johnny Cash..
I hurt myself today.....
Actually i hurt myself yesterday. I just did not know it until this morning. I woke up to every muscle in my body screaming at me. No wonder i slept threw the night. I am sitting here working on my blog in pain and listening to my I-pod, and watching wrestling on t.v. I if had not quit drinking i would swear this is a beer commercial.

The Workout....

Triceps, abs, and lower back. I can only imagine how i am going to feel tomorrow morning when i wake. If i make it to work and have the strength to fire up the computer maybe i will do a quick update. I know it has only been one day but in this world of instant results i am still pissed i have to continuously take weight off of my dumbbells. I know it is my fault for taking time off but isn't there a magic pill that will pump me back up to where i was? (Of course i know there is not.) But still? modern medicine can not come up with a magic Popeye pill of something? It kinda hurts to type. I know that this too shall pass but can't it be like a freeway instead of a traffic jam?
I only had time to do about an hour before i lost all the daylight. Until the sun stays out until 9pm at night i am going to need to be home by 6pm to get at least an hour and a half in every night. (I can not believe how fast i am typing tonight. maybe this whole being tired thing has a benefit.) I could use something to eat right about now but i promised myself i would not eat and hour before bed to try and keep some of the excess fat off of my fat ass. I also did 227 reps on the ab lounger. I can not wait to get up tomorrow and not be able to get out of the fetal position.
Anyway tomorrow i plan on doing legs and upper back. Not having all the equipment of a regular gym this should be pretty interesting. I am going to have to go back to the old school method of working out.

UCONN WOMEN.....
Went to the game last night and it was apparent after about 11 minutes that is was going to be a total blow out. Least i had plenty of entertainment. Looking around at the crown you could see who actually wanted to come to the game and who was forced there by the significant other who dragged them out the door. The old man behind me seemed to really enjoy the game. If i had to guess i would say he was in his mid 80's and just tickled pink to be out of the house and at a real basketball game.
The women looked sharp. Good passing and setting up for the open shots. Maybe they were using the game as a tune up for Texas, but boy do they tune up well.
Something about going to Harbor Yard in Bridgeport that always makes me a little hungry. Maybe it is just the smell when you walk into the Arena (And I am not talking about the sewage that Bridgeport was famous for.)
We stayed for a little of the Texas vs. Minnesota game. I was watching Texas warm up and the only thing that kept coming to mind is that they do grow them bigger in Texas. I am talking TALL not BIG. Even the cheerleaders were all tall and could see straight down to there toes with out even leaning forward a little. (You get my point.)

MONDAY NIGHT RAW....
Sorry i am not listening to a work anyone is saying on the tube tonight. All i see right now is Flair walking around the ring. Probably talking about the heart break kid. O-LOOK! there he is.
I can read lips, Wanna see?
Flair - I know you respect me but I'm gonna beat you.
HBK - i do respect you Rick but at Wrestlemania I'm gonna have to beat you.
Flair - Really?
HBK - Really.....
Flair - I love you man.
HBK - I love you too.

Flair - Wanna go do some coke and get a few hookers?
HBK - Sure. Meet you in the locker room in 10 minutes...

See, I was pretty close, right?

TRIP TO NORTH CAROLINA....
Next Wednesday i leave for 3 day of training in N.C. I am and am not looking forward to it. There is going to be a lot of information i am going to have to take in. I'm not gonna have a lot of time to take it all in. Plus this agenda is basically planned down to the second. I was surprised they did not a lot about 20 minutes between 12 and 1pm for us to take a crap. (A scheduled crap no less.) I am bringing the laptop so i can blog a little and maybe even put the notes down in here. (Probably not a good idea.)

Today Random thoughts.....

If we all know wrestling is fake, Do we watch for the story lines or for the women?

I thought it over and i am still picking Kerry Wood to win a Cy. (This could happen. He's in a contract year, I think.)

How many youtube hits would this get.
A-rob and Jeter are each charging for the same grounder. Neither stops. The collide. Neither get hurt. Both are pissed. They start brawling at short stop. The entire Yankee's squad surrounds both of them and lets them go at it keeping everyone away. A-rod get one lucky punch in an brakes Jeter's eye. Jeter goes ballistic taking off his shoe and starts stabbing A-rod over and over again with his cleat. Breaking his arm and ending his season along with over 300 stitches. From the stands A-rods wife comes out on the field and start screaming at him that they should have gone to L.A.............................

It could happen.

I'm outta here.

Peace.........................................................

Sunday roundup.

I have said before i have not gotten into collage basketball this year. Tonight i am going to see the Uconn women play. For Free. Box seats in the upper level TV broadcasting the game behind us and a full view of the court. Game starts around 7 and should end about 9. Not bad for an Easter Sunday.

EASTER SUNDAY WORKOUT

I worked out for the 1st time this week in almost 3 weeks. No running on the treadmill or hugging the StairMaster for an hour. HEAVY lifting. Well, Lets back up a little. I got sick almost two months ago and have not really felt right since. I know i should have gone back to the doctor but the man mentality would not let me. I worked and them came home and crashed for close to the last 8 weeks. I wanted to work out but did not have it in me to go to my garage or to the gym. I would always use and excuse not to do something.
Today i said F-it. It was about 45 degree's out and the sun was in full bloom. What an awesome day. I cleaned out the garage and dumped about a gallon of Febreze in it to get rid of the stale smell. (It's still kinda there.) Then i went in the house and changed into my sweets and went to the dungeon.
I was determined to lift as heavy as i had when i went down sick. Mistake number 1.
Two months of not consistently working out takes a big tole on your muscles. I should know better than that.
What do you think is the 1st thing i did after stretching? YUP, started working on the guns. Ego is one thing, but an inflated ego will rip a bicep. I did not hurt myself but i probably should have. I am down about 40% of my max weight. I discovered i could do my max for one rep and no more. This was kind of dangerous as i work out along. I have said in my previous blog entry's that i hate people watching me work out. And I was the one who thought it would be a good idea to going the busiest gym in town. (Really David? You thought that to be wise?).
I finally gave up the macho thing and went with weights i could work with for today. I was kind of pissed having to change all of my dumbbells and actually take weight off of them. Normally i would be adding weight to try and push myself past another level. Now i am dropping down to where i was not 2 month ago but pretty close to a year ago. I know my muscles will react quickly (I hope) and soon i will be at least back to where i was.
This is also a nice opportunity for me to quit smoking....... again.

SMOKING, LIFTING AND REHAB.
As a recovering addict and drunk i had a great chance to quit smoking the last time i went into rehab (2.5 years ago) but was told i should not because my body could not take the withdrawal from more than two drugs. I guess it was better i got off the booze and the other substances i was downing on a daily basis. But right now that is a decision i regret.
When i do work out i am always gasping for breathe of taking a few extra seconds to fill up my longs before starting another set. I have tried to quit smoking about 5 times last year. I got 3-4 days with out and then something would happen at work that would bring my stress level to a climax. I would try and stay away from a convienance store but when i was driving home i would see a place where i use to cop, or a package store i would stop at and i would look at those places a little too long. I would get pissed and then stop and buy a pack of smokes instead of stopping and getting a case of beer or a bottle of southern. I love driving my car and i love my job. If i start drinking or anything else again i will loss both of them. If i ever get caught drinking and driving again i will most likely go to jail for 12 years and never get my drivers licence back again. (That last sentence was for me.) So i guess for now smoking cigarettes in a viable option for stressful situations.

I DO NOT TYPE WELL...
And i always have to go back and check my spelling mistakes with the spell check. I have been on front of this computer now for the better part of 45 minutes. This is how slow i type. But i love updating my blog. Something i have nothing really to talk to myself about. (Face it most blogs are us talking to us. If someone else happens to read them we'd be happy if they laughed once or twice and did not think we were a complete moron.) My thoughts anyway.

BASEBALL...
Baseball season is around the corner and a few random thoughts i am hoping to see this year.

#1 - Manny being the ultimate Manny.
I would love to see him smack 50hr's, get 15 outfield assists, Finally get a gold glove in right, and hit .401 for the season.

#2 - Barry Bonds,
Going to Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Hit 125 home runs.
Walk once.

#3 - Kerry Wood
Post 58 saves.
Hit 250 for the season
Start 5 games (and pitch one shut out.)
Start game #7 of the world series in Chicago and pitch a perfect game.

#4 - Vlad...
Knock the cover off a baseball. (this could be done.)

#5 - The Yankee's
Pull a Miami Heat this season. (This also could be done.)
(Hey, I said i did not watch basketball. Not that i did not follow it.)

#7 - Ichiro...
Have a career year and show everyone why he is the most complete player in the game of baseball today. Period.

That's it for now. Off to the game.

Later...........................

WORKOUT MUSIC AND BRETT FARVE

LET"S GET TO FARVE 1ST
Man I'm gonna miss him. Being 36 and pretty close to Farve's age on way too far away from retirement to even think about that I can help but think, why now?
One one hand everyone thought he would be back next year, n one of the sport writers were really harping on him retiring this year, then you think about the year he had. He's right though. If he had come back this year and not won a Superbowl then it would have been a disappointment. But he is not coming back (We think) for one more last year and a farewell tour. He ended his year and his career on and interception. For the man know for throwing touchdowns he is also known for the pics. Kinda fitting he is going out like this.
I really do not expect to see much of his except for in 5 years when he is elected into the hall of fame. There will probably be another emotional speech from the man who wore his emotions on his sleeve.
Monday night will not be the same in front of the TV or for John Madden. I Will bet know we still hear his name come out of John;s mouth three or four times a game. Should we start a pool?

Workout Music....
I have a bunch of songs in my I-pod but i still have a few to put in. I have put in everything from Metalica to 311 to House of Pain. i am looking for a few of those songs. Those songs are the ones you hear and can not get out of your brain. Those songs are the ones that make you drive faster, Those songs make you react the same way today as when you 1st heard them.
Something to take to the gym and every song is one you want to listen to. I know everyone has different taste in music but there has to be a majority "list" of songs in the alternative music circuit that almost everyone agrees upon.
I know that is wish full thinking but after countless house in itunes and listening to every alternative music station on the radio and satellite i am all tapped out.
For who ever reads this on a regular basis, suggestions are much appreciated.

Got a long day tomorrow. Should be putting close to another 200 miles on the old ford.
sucks being a salesman sometimes.

Peace.

MONDAY NIGHT
Now, falling asleep at 7pm and waking up at 9 is never a good thing. But i fell asleep with it on channel 36 and woke up to the start of Monday night raw. I have not bought a pay per view for anything in a long time but i may actually fork out the money for this one. Not sure yet it is still 20 days away.
I just saw the Big Show toss Floyd Mayweather over the top road on to a few of the wrestlers. Pretty good show Vince. wrestling is not what is use to be but still no where as good as when i was really into it in the Earlie 90's. We actually had plots back then. Remember when Randy Savage and Elizabeth were in turmoil? When every other month someone threatened to put Hogan out of comission? When you never knew if Lex Luger would show up on a good cycle or he got a bad batch or roids? That was good shit back then.

MARCH MADNESS
I really did not get into collage hoops too much this year. Sure i followed the standing abd read a few coloms and caught the NC / Duke game twice this year but other than that i sparatically watched and paid attention only once and a while.
Now that the brackets are out i have no idea who to fill in. I took a couple of the no brainers but being from Connecticut i have Uconn going all the way to the final 4. I even went so far as to put them in the championship game. No, I'm not telling you who i put in agemst them.
I still trying to figure out how i can get this pumped into the office with out having to buy the package on ESPN.
Still working on it.

COUPLE THINGS THAT MADE ME THINK.....................
If NASCAR fans hate Jeff Gordon because he speaks perfect english, do they hate Montoya because they can not understand him?

With everything going on in the world (or at least the US) with e-mail, texting, video confrencing and i-phone, Do we even need fax machine's anymore?

If you have a back and arms full of tatoo's are you desting to become a cage fighter or a profeshional wrestler?

That's it for tonight.

Spell check is not working. Sorry for the mistakes.

Atlanta.

I did not get to see much of the race. All i know is that i had #29 and that finished 7th. Not bad considering may last three races my driver finished and average of 32nd.

For most of his time in NASCAR i have done nothing but bust Kyle Busch's ass about everything from his driving to his ears.

I am almost beginning to like him.

Almost.....

Fox does these special on the drivers every week and the other week he was at a school and had some kids ask him some pretty tough questions. I also think that him pairing with Tony is not such a bad idea. Tony is still a little rough around the edges, Kyle is alot like Tony in more ways that one.

Tony would just assume run you over than pass you, Kyle, ditto.

Tony never backed down from a challenge, Hmmmmm, Kyle pretty much is not afraid of anyone on or off the track. (He's a big tall shrub, I can not see him taking on and beating, say, .. Carl Edwards in a fist fight. But i give him props for not backing down.)

Tony is a great driver who does not know when to keep his mouth shut, Kyle? Nff said.

Joe Gibbs is a motivator, a leader, and a hell of a coach. This alliance he has going with Kyle, Tony, Denny, and Toyota may be just the thing he needs to get this team and one of there driver there 1st or 3rd championship. Toyota is hungry to get into Nascar. Tony wants a championship for himself and for Toyota. Denny is a very up and coming driver who i can see winning some kind of championship in the next few years. Kyle on the other hand i can see winning a cup in the next year or two. And with him in the points lead right now, Toyota backing this team, Tony and Denny as his teammates and Coach Gibbs as the leader i do not see stopping this kid. At least not right now. I know Tony is getting "old" but he is not that old where he can let Kyle take the lead and bring him along for the ride. But lets not get too ahead of out selves, This is only week three of course. Let's see what happens in the upcoming weeks.

Tony, Tony, Tony...........................
Could not keep his mouth shut. It was not enough that he was upset with the tires, but he called out good year, and also mentioned (by name) all of there replacements. Goodyear right now is sitting in NASCAR's corporate telling the to tell Tony to shut the Fuck up or else. Not only do they support NASCAR but they in turn give alot of money back into the sport. For him to open his mouth and do something like that on national t.v. is almost uncalled for in this industry. Imagine if Jeter or A-Rod publicly came out and said that the Louisville Slugger sucked? If Tom Brady and Tomlinson said Nike cleats or one of the other major providers product was worthless?. Imagine the fall out from something like that being said on t.v.....
I can not wait for the fines to be handed out by NASCAR on this one.
Tracking............................

I know i have said this before......
But i am know wireless on my house and can update this from any room in my house. So even if it is a short update, There will be an update.
Maybe on day when i have a few hours on my hands i will share the long and agonizing story of the wireless serves and the one witch who almost had her way.......

PEACE.....................

NEWMAN! NEW-

Hello NEWMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have all of the Ryan Newman gear. When i was in Daytona a few years ago when JR won the race i bought a shit load of his stuff (beacuse it was black) and Kane's (because i was drinking alot).
Newman being a truely "smart" drive i was kind of drawn to him. (and the fact he had no neck.) That's the year they nick named him "rocketman". The thing about Newman was you could not understand him because he was smarter than you. Redneck drivers would also say they did not understand Newman. Not becuse the could not understand what he was saying, but they could not understand the words coming out of his mouth because of his engineering back ground.

(I just realized me spell check does not work on my computor. Bear with me. I am trying to correct as much as i can when i catch it.)

Eating Crow

TIME TO EAT CROW....

No one thought Eli could do it. None of the sports writters i read over the past few weeks. New York had him all but calling in the game.
Eli was standing for most of the game. Tom Brady on the other had was just about on his ass the entire game. What a defence, what a game, what an ending.
As i was watching the first three quarters i was thinking to myself that the way the giants are moving the football if it is close in the 4th quarter the Pats might be in trouble. I did not want ot be right, but i was.
I took the over on a bet, bad move. I had figured the first quarter and a half would be a little slow, but had no idea it would carry over for 45 minutes.
4th quarter.............
WOW, I am so glad i did not fall asleep and miss the 4th. I love listening to Aikman but i have never liked Joe Buck. That was the only downer to the game.
Everyone is talking about "the catch". Eli and David will now go down in Giants folklore for the rest of there days. Even if Eli sucks next year they will (or at least should) cut him some slack. But hey, This is New York Baby. Unless your name is Jeter you'll always be under the gun with the fans.

Good thing i am a Seahawks fan...
With the Seahawks we really kinda know what to expect just about every year now a days. We good, not great. If we make it to the playoffs we had a banner year, but no one (especially the fans) expect us to go all the way. It's just not happening again. With Matt winding down, alexander on his last leg and the offensive line starting to dwindle it looks like 4-5 more years before we make it deep into the playoffs again.

Hopefully i will have the Nascar preview done on monday.

I should be at the gym

But Noooooooooooo........................
It's a long story so i decided to vent. I remember a little of what it is like to be single. Everyone and a while i miss it. Like right now. Gonna get a few things off my mind while there still fresh.

The story lines for the next two weeks.
Tom Brady Rules.....
Well, until someone dethrones the king, he's pretty much it. What other QB would you want running your team?
Payton? Please.......
Drew Breeze? Give him a little more time..
Philip Rivers? Talks way too much. Besides i have a big problem with him. (read previous entry's)
David Gerrard? Snappy dresser, but not even at midfield yet.
Jeff Garcia? Proven winner. Dog lover, married to a playboy bunny (I still think he's gay. T.O was right.)
See, Right now, at this very moment in time there is no other QB you want at the helm. Unless Bradshaw, Farve, or Aikman travel in time and come back at there prime no one is even close.
Payton was close for a while and got a ring last year but all the start fell into place at the right time and it was hour to be on the podium.

Billy B is a genius........
Well DUH??????????
4 Superbowl's in 7 years. What the F do you think he is? How many stars did he let go and replace with a rookie or someone he picked off waives? (surprised he did not p/u Ryan Grant when he had the chance). Yes he's a genius. Get use to it.

Pat's defence is getting old.
O.k. maybe if they were playing the game today this would be a factor. But your giving the (possibly) greatest team you have even witnessed two (TWO!) weeks to prepare for a sub par Giants team with a solid defence and a "streaky" QB with a banged up front line. The Giants corner are in deep, DEEP, sh^t tin two weeks if they think the can cover Moss, Stalworth, Gafney, Welker, and Watson for the whole game. And what if Maroney goes off and goes for 300 yards behind the 2ND best O line of all time. (Hogs are #1 all time, no argument, do not even try.) See, we already got off the fact.

We review the Giants tomorrow.

See ya................

THE GIANTS WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy crap! The Giants and Eli Manning (ELI!) beat the Packers. I am still in disbelief this morning. And i watched the whole game. From the Pre game to Joe Bucks opening statement to filling it over to sports center to make sure what i just saw was for real.
Someone pinch me.
Un-Fing-Beleviable. I'm in shock. I am dumbfounded. I feel like an REM song.
This is the reason i love sports, No one, No body, Not a soul on the face of Gods green earth game the Giants a chance, except Terry Bradshaw.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW...............................

I am dissapointed for Brett Farve, Happy for Eli.

Brett................
I know the reporters needed to do there job but this man just lost one of the bigger games of his life and your already asking him if he is going to retire or weather he will be back next year. You should know he's going to do the same thing he has done for the last few years. He's going to go home, spend some time on his farm, talk with his wife and see how he feels. 18 years in the league and this situation over the last five you would thing you would give the man a little slack. I like, Sorry, Love the way Farve plays. I will miss him when he does decide to hang them up.

Eli...................
Has anyone tested him for performance enhancing drugs? Seriously, this kid is either playing way above his head (probably) or his teammates are finally playing to there potential (possible). Steve Smith, Plexico, and Toomer are a nice tandom of receivers. One rookie (smith) one big play receiver (Plexico) and one cagey Vet (Toomer). Put the ball where it is supposto go and they will make plays for you. Would also like to point out a very good player who is making an impact. Kevin Boss. (Shockey who????).
Good hands, great blocker, and he's like 6ft 4 or something ridiculous like that. Looks like the Giants drafted pretty well over the last few years.

Payton sits at home.
How ironic that Eli told his brother to stay at home because the last two (not just once) Payton showed up at one of his games he stunk up the place. (also the games were at home). The giants are essentially going on the road again. I am wondering if Giants fans are going to stay at home and treat it like an away game? He plays well while he is in hostile territory, Giants fans should let everyone in New England attend the game and have Eli think it is truly another road game?

NOT ANOTHER SCOTT NORWOOD...............
As i was watching Lawrence Tynes miss two (kinda) makable field goals i immediately had flash backs of Scott Norwood. Then at 2:35 of overtime he nails a 47 yard FG to send the G-men to Arizona. THAT might have been the only reason for me to have been rooting for the Giants to win that game. Lawrence is now walking around with the same confidence Vinatieri has been for the last 7 or 8 years. Sure i can make that field goal. In -24 degree weather kicking a rock hard bowling ball 47 yards is a pretty descent accomplishment. Kicking it in overtime with 25% of the American public watching and the game on the line is another thing. I am glad the kid (and he is a rookie) will not have that hanging over his head for the balance of his career.

Brett on the other hand....................
I believe has no choice but to come back next year. He can not have his last pass in the NFL be an interception. He holds the record for most touchdowns and interceptions in a career, but no one wants to see him go out like this. Arron Rogers can wait one more year.

NASCAR.....
I will be doing my first NASCAR review of the season this week. Have it about 1/2 done. I will be looking at all of the contenders and the rookies for the upcoming season. Football is just about over and i am quickly loosing interest in Basketball again. So i will be devoting alot of the next few months to NASCAR.

See ya......................................

Why am i angry all the time?

Same could be said about Phillip Rivers. What's with the constant taunting of the other teams? I think that is probably a good reason why he got plowed into on the field last week. Remember Ryan Leaf? He could not keep his trap shut and he got run out of the league (because he sucked as well). Good quarterback know when to open there mouth and when to keep it closed. (Manning, Brady, Palmer, just to name a few).

Bolts/Pats should be a fun game. I do hope Rivers plays and plays well, Right up until Teddy and JR kamikaze crunch him in the 3rd quarter. Then let's see him win another game with Billy Volek at the helm. Rivers use to be such a quiet kid. Maybe he thinks he has to do this now because he kinda sucks as a QB. He, a lot like Eli, are too erratic. You never know which one of them will show up at the game. Unlike Brady, Gerard and Manning who are about as consistent as you will find in a QB you know what you are getting week in and week out. I was never a QB but have thrown the ball around a little and you know what. I do not think it is really that hard. But we will leave that statement until i actually get picked as a contestant on Pros's vs, Joe's.

THERE'S NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL................

He's my QB, He's my friend. He aint heavy, He's my brother.......................

A performance Worth an Oscar. (Let;s hope Roger Clemens can put on a similar one today at the grand jury). That was beautiful. Just F-ING B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. I watched the video on you-tube about a 100 times. Each time was better than the last. That is about a 6oooo on the comedy scale. Only thing that would have made it funnier is if Barry Bonds was doing the interview and keep yelling at him to shut the F up.

There's not Fing crying in Football unless you break something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can understand T.O defending Romo, especially if he did in fact buy him the tickets. I like Romo and Jessica (But i really wanted to see him hook up with Carie Underwood) but if you are the QB of the Dallas Cowboys you (just like the NY and Boston Media) will be under the constant eye of the media. If you miss the urinal and pee on the floor, we'll know about it. You forget to tip the waitress at breakfast, we know about it. Where ever you go, so does the media. Get use to it.

Look up in the sky..........................

I have been reading some report about Texans seeing ufo's. (Please insert Jessica Simpson /Tony romo joke here.)

Now, Have the Partiots cause that much commotion that other worlds are coming down here and trying to get tickets for the Pats games? Did anyone this that that is why there have been so may sitings? Or have they come back for there commander and chief (Jerry Jones) and there 1st commander (Jason Garrett). Don't they both look like creatures from outer space? Especially Jason. Those bug eye's that he watches the field so closely with. Or those knobby little fingers he keeps writing on the board with. almost like he is texting the commander in chief for some help. You all know Wade is done and will not be back next year. Wanna know why? Look at the last 5 minutes of the game. Where was Jerry Jones? Right next to Wade, that's where. I can just hear him whispering in his ear.

Ya know, I let Parcells go for not winning a playoff game. You loose this one and you can only imagine what i am going to do to you? He's done and Garrett will get the head coaching job. There is not way Jones will let him go anywhere. That would be like the Partiots firing Billy B. for going 9-5 one year. Not Gonna Happen.

Gotta Run.......................................

Where are we today?

I looked around and here is what i came up with.

#1 - The Partiots are the 1st team to go 16 and 0 since the 16 game season came about.
#2 - the Celtics are 10.5 games ahead.
#3 - The red soxs are still going to get Santana.
#4 - So far the Bruins are doing o.k.

New England is a great place to live now a days.

Except for today. What a day. I went to the hospital twice (not for me), and i was colder than a witches tit outside all day. (Global warming? -0 with the wind chill? WTF?)

I am getting into MMA and the UFC more and more these days.

Nascar is only about 40 days away from starting back up.

WOW am i f-ing excited.

I have not been posting alike i thought i was going to. My work out schedule has been hell. I hate working out when there is alot of people at the gym. I guess i can not support a gym all by myself so i should not complain. I just wish there was a gym that had individual work out areas for everyone. I got an i-pod which distracts me from looking at people who are looking at me. That's kind of a contradiction isn't it. I hate people who stare at me but yet i look around and try and catch people looking at me?
There is a million mirrors in the gym. If you want to see who is doing what just look in the mirror, right?

Weird.

I'm screwed up it think.

I;m really, really, really tired.

My girlfriends brother had to be taken to the hospital today. Dehydration. There is a long story behind this one but i am not going to air this dirty laundry on the Internet (yet).

Later.
